If you have sailed on a Celebrity Cruise before expect that all of the services you may have been used to before may be curtailed back a bit
robinettemd
Do excursions on your own. Very expensive through cruise line

Don't worry about booking a room on the side facing Alaska as you cruise. It would not have made that big a difference in the end. Also, avoid the 9th deck if you want to have a balcony without an extended roof overhead.

Take advantage of the main dining hall. The food is great but the service is even better.

Do not attend captain’s speech - really boring. Never had one so bored like this😟

We no longer care to sail Celebrity unless we can go in suite class which elevates our experience. Now that they have removed the Butler and starting to charge you hundreds in pre tipping we will likely no longer book Celebrity and book all our trips with Azamara cruises where EVERYTHING is included !

Request kettle for tea and coffee in cabin

It’s a smaller ship, easy to get from one side to another

Bring an electrical strip.

Little valid information about Japan was provided on board. If you're interested in a traditional cruise that has some stops in Japanese ports, then this may work for you. If you are interested in Japan, its culture, and the Japanese people, then there are better options (the Diamond Princess provides much more information on Japan and Japanese culture).
MidsCouple
Consider timed dining as it was manic for ‘Select’ diners.

If what you are looking for is a ship with no noisy kids, full of middle age and old people, enjoy good food and do nothing for 13 days then this might be tour cruise. But if you want to know enjoy Japan without the stress of probably not making it back to port on time; then dont take this cruise. Just stay in the mainland, a plane ride with Ana is just around $80 from Osaka to Tokyo and other places around Japan. Plus there is plenty of options when it has to do with your luggage. That being said, Ill never take this cruise again.

The Wi Fi connection was good but would loose connection frequently.
