Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Entire cruise was amazing. Weather was perfect. Disappointed that dining room staff didn't sing and dance for us.

First cruise ever. Millie is... by ToniLG

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

First cruise ever. Millie is spoiling me. Room, food, service are great! Alaska takes my breath away! Can’t wait to come back. Juneau a bit ‘crowded’ for me. Skagway is great. Icy Strait and Ketchikan here I come.

Fantastic Ship by jrhales77

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

We throughly enjoyed the Celebrity Millennium. I believe Celebrity will become our go to cruise line when we are traveling with other older adults. If the destinations are more important than having a theme park on-board then Celebrity is the cruise line for you. The food is much better than what we experienced on Carnival and Royal Caribbean. A smoke free casino was wonderful. We booked our next Celebrity cruise while on-board.

Trans Pacific Crossing by manta2020

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Transpacific

The ship was very nice after its dry dock upgrade. Food in dining room was average, Little variety. The specialty restaurants were Tuscan Grill steaks the best. The lecture series was very entertaining. Overall a good experience.

My Last Cruise Before Pandemic -Memorable Asia Cruise by DivaDi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

I miss this cruise itinerary, hard to find similar itinerary on other ships/cruise lines. Fond memories of this sailing since it was my last before pandemic. Celebrity Millennium was refurbished end of 2018 or beginning of 2019; I was fortunate to experience all the improvements made for the ship.

Excellent Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and Singapore cruise by guylevenmarcon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We really enjoyed this cruise and the Millennium staff were very attentive. Areas for improvement - 1 - excursions are highly priced, so doing it yourself is viable 2 - the pre authorisation of credit cards should be explained better at embarkation

Having a day at sea... by plantycat

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

Having a day at sea after leaving Hong Kong. We visited Victoria peak for views over the bay.we reached the peak by fanicular which was well worth the the trip in itself. Unfortunately it was a bit misty when we visited but the views were still spectacular one can only imagine if it was a clear day.

In general fine, but some expensive internet and lack of premium drinks left a sour taste in the mouth.... by stumck01

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I eventually purchased an internet package, and felt ripped off for internet that was inordinately expensive, and inordinately unfit for purpose, it was so slow the ilounge was constantly full off people moaning about the connection speeds, if any connections were available at all. Also, I upgraded to a 'premium drinks package' as the beer and spirits I preferred were in that package - after two days they were difficult to get hold off, after about 8 days they were almost impossible to get hold of, and in fact other alternative premium beers and spirits were also unavailable - therefore I was ripped off again. When upgrading the packages (x2) I was also charged the 18% gratuity, even though no extra service was involved - I tried to have this removed towards the end of the voyage, only to be told this was not possible, even though I thought the gratuities were optional, which obviously they are not. I tried to reduce the room/person/night gratuity to a level to cover the above gratuity on the drinks package upgrade, and was told I could only take off a whole two weeks gratuity for one or both people, not just part of it, I didn't want to do this, so their inflexibility left me feeling ripped off again.

Tokyo to Hong Kong Cruise by debdub

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I didn't find a lot of information on this particular cruise, so I want to say that as a first time asian traveling experience it was really good. The excursions covered the highlights and gave a good view of the ports of call. Fall is definitely a good time to travel to avoid the high temps in the summer months.

First time on a Celebrity... by Davidk125

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

First time on a Celebrity Ship, perhaps we were expecting too much based on some reviews and the fact it was an American Ship. Nothing outstanding, cabin was much the same as most other cruise lines. Food was fine, once again maybe expecting too much. The one outstanding part of the cruise was the crew, they were really outstanding, they actually made the cruise something to remember.

A ship without a port to go to (for a few hours.) by FlaCruiserRalph

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I want to commend Celebrity Cruise Line and the crew of the Millennium for dealing with the two (2) typhoons which played havoc with our scheduled ports of call. We did not make it to Hiroshima, Hakodate or Aomori but we did go to Nagasaki (which was not one of the scheduled ports of call. Capt. Alex is very professional and personable and has a good sense of humor.

North Pacific Crossing by jeanettehart

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Transpacific

Ship is nice size. Captain is great. Crew is very friendly. Food was OK, but very little variety from day to day. Gratuities are always a sore spot with us. Only person who gave us any personal attention was Room Steward--we gave her a tip. We pay our fare; do not feel it is our responsibility to tip housekeeping, cooks, servers, and people cleaning tables. We never go to main dining because we like to sample different foods. Also, toilet was unreliable--flushing was very questionable.

I loved visiting the ports. Changes had to be made because of tge typhoon, and it’s amazing how everything could quickly be organized. Yokohama is a nice port to have as a base for more than one day.
