AMAZING EXPERIENCE! by dkosutic

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Celebrity was an amazing experience at all levels (organization, food quality, excursions, top notch service on the boat, extremely friendly staff, beautiful ship.  And an excellent bargain, too! Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable, even changing our dinner hour.  All the staff seemed knowledgeable about cruise details as well, which was helpful - the guys who cleaned our room had detailed info. about each stop and general cruise info. as well.  They were constantly cleaning the ship front eh start through to the end of the cruise - no messes at all.

Very good experience by weixu30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

It has been a very good experience at Celebrity Millennium. The stateroom is spacious for a couple and one young child. The food is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of activities ongoing on board. I like the pool and spa center. The shows are great in the theater. It is very relaxing to cruise with Millennium. The shore excursions are fantastic and we got to see the best part of Alaska. Embarkation and disembarkation are very smooth.

Expected a littlle more by WGCCarol

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends

I have taken a few cruises in the past, the one before this being a Royal Caribbean Mediterranean cruise.  I was told that Celebrity was a step above Royal Caribbean in terms of quality.  I did not find this to be the case at all.  If anything I would say it was a step below.  It was all good and I enjoyed myself, but it was not great.  I enjoyed our waiters at dinner and felt they did a fine job.  The spa, however was a terrible spa experience.  The spa was disorganized, overpriced, the people were rude and the treatment was of very poor quality.   I have been to many spas in my life and this was definitely not the spa experience I expected.  You use a public restroom to robe up and then they send you out into the main waiting area which services both the gym and the spa, and you sit with nothing on but a robe.  Then the mandatory 18% gratuity for a poor deep tissue massage added insult to injury.   I would probably not choose Celebrity cruise line again.

My family and I loved our Seward to Vancouver Alaska Cruise! The service was outstanding. Our cabin steward, Savio, did a great job!

Our dinners were not only delicious, but the service was excellent. Manuaba was very good!

We enjoyed the entertainment on the ship and our excisions. The ship was very clean!

Happy

Enjoyable but felt like a piggy bank the crew were trying to empty at every opportunity by mmspektorgmail

Good cruise and we got lucky with the weather at the Hubbard Glacier. A big shame that at every corner of the ship someone was trying to upgrade or sell you something....It really took the shine off an otherwise good experience. Alaska is definitely the star however!

Alaska Celebrity Millennium Cruise by sunnyli00319

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Overall the food was ok, but the staff was very polite and attentative at the Met that was the only reason we went back there.  The food at the buffet could needs more variety.  There were few times when we went and they were actually cleaning up and preparing for the next meal, and very little option was left to take.

North to Alaska! by sailsandiego

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

The cruise was very nice. We started out with a 3 day on land tour before boarding the ship.  We saw a lot in those 3 days, but it was 3 long hard days. We were up early having to put out our luggage at 6 AM! Glad that we did the land part  before the cruise. So when we got to the cruise we could rest a little. We were in Aqua Class so we ate in the Blu restaurant. The food and wait staff was very good. We took one tour through the cruise line which was a train ride into Canada. That was really worth the time and money - really enjoyed it. The rest of the time we were on our own and we found plenty to do.

Alaskan travel at it's best. by markh833

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

The staff was great, accommodations very good and the dinners excellent.  There was plenty of activities on the ship and the ports provided a lot of options with the exception of Icy Straits.

If there was a negative it was the buffet available for breakfast and lunch.  It was difficult to find seating and the food was only average.  Also, some of the food stations ran out of food on a regular basis.

Overall, this is an excellent cruise and we would certainly go on the same ship again in the future.

Celebrity Millennium 7 night Alaska Southern Glacier (Seward to Vancouver) by larrydiane

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Overall the cruise was very good. However, we were disappointed that Internet was not provided without charging a large fee.  It was like, "I gottcha".  Hotels used to charge but the majority no longer do that, at least in the Internet café or public areas.  I feel Celebrity must become current with the majority.  We previously went on another cruise line and for the same accommodations we were offered Internet in our cabin as well as in the Internet café at no charge.  The entertainment was not nearly as good as our previous cruise, as well.

Single cruiser has excellent time by dgwalker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

First cruise and unfortunately alone for this time, but it was still possible to have a great time.  The cabin was an ocean view stateroom on deck three.  Very comfortable and well located away from traffic.  The ship was not too big or too small with excellent facilities.  The staff were all very friendly and attentive.   Only used the restaurant once as it is uncomfortable eating alone; rest of the meals at buffet (Ocean View Cafe).  The food there was excellent and varied.   The scenery was spectacular and there was a mixture of weather from stormy to sunny.  The stops at Alaska ports were well timed and organized.

First Cruise Experience by fjnldavis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

We cruised the Alaska Inside Passage. The views were bountiful and beautiful, the service was terrific and the benefits of having a cabin with a balcony cannot be underestimated. Overall a wonderful vacation where we hiked at every port and were able to enjoy comfortable accommodations afterwards.

This was a very relaxing cruise, more calm with elderly population. Food was amazing with very attentive waiters if you had who I had =D. I love cruising with celebrity because of these factors.

Cruise great - land tour accommodations poor by troehldk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

The land tour portion of this trip was not what we expected from Celebrity.  The hotel accommodations in Denali were very poor.  Room was dirty, staff was not prepared for us, food very pricey, and you are locked in there - no transportation or shuttle to area where shops and other restaurants were.   Our tour guide on the land tour  was great and the excursions were very good - but Celebrity can do a lot better in selecting hotels for the land tour.  The cruise itself was good.  The excursions we selected were very good.  The ship could use renovation - it is a bit worn.  But the staff was friendly and the food a bit above average.  I would recommend Celebrity for the cruise - but not the land tour.

Alaska is beautiful and we really enjoyed seeing this beautiful part of the country.

South Bound cruise to Vancouver by mlister001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

This cruise was very good.  The stateroom attendants were 'johnny on the spot' and kept the room very clean.  Room service was great and on time.  Dinning room was good but selection or food was not up to normal standards for Celebrity.

Great Cruise! by riptideash

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

This was my first cruise so do not have anything to compare it to but was very happy with celebrity. They had a lot to do and the food was amazing. It was in port at the various Alaskan cities long enough to be able to do 1-2 excursions.

Alaskan Cruise by Minncruiser

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

The trip was an overall beautiful cruise. One problem we encountered is the formal night. I had called the Celebrity Cruise company & specifically asked what would be acceptable for those 2 nights. I was told dress pants with a nice shirt. So that is what we did.Long sleeves were not mentioned. We were reprimanded in front of other people & the couple we were with left immediately because they were embarrassed. I told the maitre'D that I had called Celebrity & what I was told & that maybe they need to get on the "same page." After all that he said they had a table, but we left. The food on this cruise was not as good as the Equinox. We ate much of the time in the cafeteria.  The other crew members were very friendly & helpful.

Wonderful Trip by pyewacketrsc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: South Pacific

We had a fabulous time.  As always enjoyed the sea days as there is lots to do besides working on our pictures & needlepoint.  We took the I-pad & I-phone classes and learned a lot from Chris (I Lounge manager).  We can't say enough about the knowledge we gained.  The only thing we could say, it was very hard to keep track of what day it was as we traveled along, having 2 May 7th and knowing what time it was at home in case we wanted to text & get an answer back soon.  As always, all good things have to come to an end, back to reality.

Food just o.k.  They not change much the menu.

Not much information about the places we visited for the people not taking excursions.

Entertainment was very good.

Not many items in the shops and some of them very expensive
