In spite of the stresses related to traveling to meet the ship, when you arrive it makes it all very worthwhile once you are aboard. All of the tension melts aways and that is your reward. This cruise was our second with Celebrity and we would highly recommend them to travelers that would just like to relax over some cocktails and great food as well as enjoying the entertainment they have to offer. Being a smaller ship, things are much less hectic or crowded. They don't offer exotic water slides, go carts and zip lines, just a lot of deck chairs and quiet places here and there throughout the ship where one can find some "alone time". The tours they offer on the islands are exciting and adventurous enough to please anyone. Most enjoyable.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Boarded earlier than expected. Very efficient people at the pier and aboard.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everything they have to offer is excellent. The crew are warm, friendly and highly efficient. We prefer the buffet to the dining room because of the wide variety of food available, but the main dining is also very good.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Enjoyed lounging around the pool deck, walking around and exploring the ship. The shows are spectacular.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The musicians and dancers are better than what you hear on today's radio. Excellent!
Children's Programs
There were few children on board, mostly older passengers. There are excellent programs for kids however.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Cannot say enough good things about the ship's staff, from the room stewards to the Officers. All are excellent!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The Millennium is an older ship that was recently refitted and looked brand new. Very well kept.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Excellent for two persons. Plenty of room and very clean. Our room steward was above and beyond in service and keeping it "ship shape".
Ship tip
Not to worry about a thing. Just sit back and relax and unwind and let the crew do their thing, and entertain you. They are expert at it.
Have also visited St Thomas in the past and stayed close to the ship. Enjoyed the shops and people. Lots of "bearded dragons" sunning themselves on the docks and rocky areas.
We did not tour outside of the city but did enjoy walking around and visited shops that were open. They were celebrating their Independence Day and most shops were closed. We still found it to be an enjoyable experience.
The downtown area is very old and worn down. Crowded and many people selling their wares. A very poor community but charming . We did tour outside the city. Winding and steep roads and scenic pitons. The island is volcanic.
Without a doubt, we considered this spot the best. Went on a tour for about three hours and saw some magnificent beaches and properties. A nice finishing touch to our cruise.
Have cruised many times before and this was the smoothest departure we have experienced. We were off the ship in what I consider "record" time, about 15 to 20 minutes. There were buses available at the pier to take you for an excursion and/or directly to the airport.
