Review summary

This was our second Celebrity cruise and like the first we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will go again. This was our first time to Alaska and everything exceeded our expectations. We also did a land tour to Denali and Fairbanks. In Denali we did the 8 hour Wilderness Park tour, and an ATV tour. Both were great. We took the glass dome train to Fairbanks and it was excellent. In Fairbanks we did the Gold Dredge tour and Riverboat cruise. Both are touristy but very enjoyable. In Denali we stayed at the Denali Park Village Lodge, the rooms are dated and tired and some of the staff do not like their job. In Fairbanks we stayed at Pike’s Waterfront, clean and comfortable. This whole trip was a 10.

Ports of call

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Went on a bear search tour, short walk half way to Hoonah, and walked the shops. Probably the least interesting stop of the cruise for us.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Went on a great rafting trip on the Mendenhall Glacier. The Amalga gin distillery is a must visit. Lots to see and do in Juneau. Good lunch at the hanger.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Great city to visit for a few days, so much to see and do. Excellent bars and restaurants.

Ketchikan, Alaska

A nice totem park and rainforest hike with Wild Wolf Tours.

Skagway, Alaska

A great town to walk around. Went on a scenic drive tour over the White Pass to Yukon. Stop for a beer at Skagway Brewery.
