Review summary

Captain Alex was awesome. He notified us one night about the northern lights. If not for that we would have missed that experience. He always kept us informed and has a great sense of humor. This is the cruise to take if you are trying to decide which Alaska cruise to take.

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The drink package that was offered was deceiving, but we managed. We had to pay extra for anything over $9. The food in the main dining room was sub par. The wait time between courses was to long. For example: We all ordered the halibut one night. The halibut had a fishy taste to it and was as hard as a brick. It took on an average 2 hours to be served dinner. We always missed the evening entertainment. The buffet is okay as long as you don't want something on the other side. By the time we were able to find and get what we wanted and found a place to sit down our food was cold. For instance, the catsup was by the salad bar? not by the French fries, etc..

We only made it to one night Stage show. That is the night we ate at the buffet.

Ship tip

It is a very relaxed and informal cruise. No need to pack formal clothes.
