Review summary

This ship is seven years old and if your looking you can see some wear spots. However the staff goes above and beyond to see that all areas of the ship sparkle. I would think that if I were taking children I would select a different cruise as this line caterers to middle aged customers - great for us! We sailed Celebrity before and found that our memories served us well. The food is outstanding. We dine out a lot and much of our menu selections could be found in fine dining establishments on the east coast. The service was second to none. The ship was large but provided comfortable areas to relax and unwind. We have tried other cruise lines but will look for Celebrity again on our next cruise.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We took the great island adventure tour and saw most of the island. This tour also allows for two hours of swimming at Megan's beach. After the beach you go to black beard's castle and you can swim in the pools there. Then walk down to the shopping area. If you take this tour, they fail to tell you that there are places for you to change back into street clothes. Also, the ship has special towels for you to take ashore. We would have liked to spend more time in port here in order to shop.

Nassau, Bahamas

Although the ship offers a tour to Atlantis, we took a cab for $8 and toured ourselves. The property is amazing and we were glad we went. They have free aquariums that you can see and actually dine right next too. They also have specialty tours that we did not try. There is also a casino. We had a drink near the water slides and had a great time! Time was limited in this port but we managed to squeeze in a little shopping.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We were supposed to take a tour of old and new San Juan but cancelled because they changed our tour time due to Customs. There is a free trolly near the port that they don't mention on ship. Once we found out about this we went out to the fort which was a great way to pass the afternoon.

Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic

There is not a lot to do here. We opted for the snorkeling which was OK but the water was rough. We saw some fish but I would recommend St. Thomas if you really wanted to snorkel. We have been on other cataraman tours and this one was just average. If we stop at this port again we would probably stay on the ship.

Pros: Roominess of the decks so that no area ever felt crowded

Cons: Port in Dominican Republic
