A wonderful, relaxing cruise

Sail Date: February 17, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

This was our first time on the Millenium. It is a very nice ship and everything is very conveniently situated on the ship. The staff was extremely nice and we recieved great service. I do feel some of the food was not up to Celebrity's standards but that may have just been the quality that was recieved that week. The ship also could use some improvements in the appearance as carpets and rails are beginning to show their age.

Pros: entertainment

Cons: some of the ports

Recommends Celebrity Millennium? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
We had a cabin with a veranda. This was very nice but again could use some refurbishing. There was some rust in the bathroom around the bottom of the shower.
The entertainment has certainly come up several notches since our last cruise on Celebrity.
Service and Staff
Ship Quality
As mentioned above, some of the areas need to be spruced up a bit due to their age. The ship was very clean and the decor is delightful.
Food and Dining
As mentioned above, some of the food was not up to Celebrity's standards. One night there was New York Steak on the menu and the meat was very tough and bland.
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic
This is one area we have no desire to return to. We did not feel safe in this port.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We have been to San Juan many times. It would be nice to get in earlier and be able to go to a beach instead of just going around town.
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
This was a wonderful place to spend the day. Getting off the ship on to the tenders took some time but that is part of the cruise.
