Overall, a very nice cruise, but I'm done with more caribbean
Cruises. Same old. Same old.

Food and Dining

This cruise follows a first cruise on Caribben Princess.
MDR: One screw up when steak was not cooked anywhere to order.
Buffet: Really impressed with the offerings and GF options.
Buffet was five times bigger than previous Princess
cruise. Numerous, high quality, GF options.
Coffee is terrible! Who said Lavazza is premium coffee? This stuff is nasty. Why not bring back some good old Folgers or Maxwell House? Good thing I brought my own instant coffee
and tea from home.
Gelato is fantastic!
GF pizza was very good.
Onboard Activities

Did not do the rock climbing walls, pools, or fitness centers.
Too busy reading two fascinating books.
Next time will certainly do the thallsotherapy pools.
Entertainment

Lovely CD from Portsmouth, UK who was so delightful, personable, and genuine.
No nauseating other agendas here. That's nice!
Children's Programs
At 73, I'm old and crochety. I try to avoid booger pickers.

A bit unusual layout. Only two outlets. Not enough.
Another T shirt stop with Diamonds International, etc. Not much else. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, and helpful.
For the first time in my life, the cab driver did not try to rip me off!
Only about 10 shops in a small cluster 'in town'. Not much here except beaches, beach chairs, and umbrellas.
kef 2016:
I continue to cruise because I enjoy it and have some tremendous cruises scheduled. Because I had a couple bad cruises happen, I am not ready to give it all up. Future cruises will be more exciting for me(minus the tourist traps) and I'm certainly not ready to choose a new way of vacationing.
Also please note my positive comments also included in my review.
Selective reading. Guidelines for reviews suggest including comments about BOTH positive and negative aspects of the cruise. That's what I did.
No more short Carribbean cruises for me as explained. You might want to review other comments about this cruise where numerous complaints were about the same problems.
Crochety: I'm being facetious and apparently you didn't catch that.
I hear you! My wife and I have come to the conclusion that Caribbean cruises are best for the colder weather months when kids are in school and summer months are best for Alaska, New England, or Europe. If you’re looking for a new cruise experience give river cruising a try. We did the 14 day Hungary to Amsterdam cruise with AmaWaterways and it was FIRST CLASS. Only 150 passengers and fabulous service, delicious dining, and a variety of excursions included.
Life is what you decide to see in it. Cruising is about making the choices you want to enjoy! Try something else as joy can be fleeting! It’s all about the journey not the destination!
Why do you continue to cruise? Your reviews of your recent cruises have been full of negative experiences that you seem to have. I get that no cruise is perfect, but things do happen and I don’t let it ruin my whole experience. I also understand that everyone’s experiences can be different. I see that you have more cruises booked. Maybe you need to try a different type of vacation.
