Review summary

We had a wonderful vacation with the Celebrity Infinity in the Western Caribbean leaving from Port Everglades (Fort Lauderdale).

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was pleasant and easy. The staff at the port were knowledgeable and efficient. Bring you vaccine cards!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffets, main dining room, and room service were excellent! Service and variety were unreal.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools and theatre entertainment. Unfortunately the night life on the deck were lacking. Other cruises we have enjoyed the night time pool activities.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The main stage entertainment was excellent. We enjoyed an excellent magician, stand up act, many singers, and the ibroadway show was excellent.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
Our teens were bored. They enjoyed the outdoor movies, pools, and the ship has an Xbox lounge. They would have like faster wifi.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The cabin service and the restaurant service were top tier. Other personnel were helpful and friendly. I could not be happier with the level of service.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is well maintained but is showing its age. There were some areas with water dripping. The ship has everything we needed but does not compare to the larger and newer ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was a small, inside cabin on an upper deck that was very close to the main buffet. We do not spend much time in the cabin but the location is ideal for our teens. The cell service was obstructed when we were in port with a signal.

Ship tip

Go to the shows and enjoy the main dining room. You can order room service from the main dining room during meal times for no additional charge if you do not want to get dressed up.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Port was very well run, better than others we have sailed from... We did not have time for an excursion.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
We did a trolley tour. Key west is so much fun. Unfortunately, we had to leave port before the nightlife had begun.

Belize City, Belize

3 out of 5
This port required a tender boat to enter Belize city. There is not much to do near the port, you will want to take an excursion if you want to do more than shop. The excursions are the same but less expensive if booked in the port as opposed to on the ship.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel was amazing. We did a mini-sub excursion that was at Cozumel Resort. The sub excursion was fun but short. One bonus was that resort access was included with the mini-sub. The resort has several restaurants and bars that were reasonably priced and an amazing pool that we used.

Bimini, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Bimini is a small private island close to the US coast. There are several beaches that are walkable from the docks.. Most of the cruise staff that have time off go to one of the walkable beaches. We went to a beautiful new resort and had access to the beach, pools, bar, rest rooms, and restaurants located near the beach. The food and drinks were quite pricey but the excursion came with a free drink for each person.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Celebrity staff were very good at communicating what we needed to do to disembark. The port was very efficient. They called our group to get off, we walked out the gangway and our luggage was waiting for us. We were off in less than 10 minutes.
