Review summary

Not up to our standards based on many cruises on Princess ships.. We took this cruise because it was less expensive, and now we know why.. So back to princess for us.

Embarkation

Very long lines. took over an hour.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was mediocre. Prunes were served with the pits in them. Wait staff seemed well trained but had too many people to wait on and therefore service was slow. One of the things we look forward to on a cruise is the lobster dinner on the last night, and this was sadly missing. Fried eggs were always over cooked. On one occasion, our kids were served their breakfast, and we had to ask the waiter where our order was. after which he walked over to the 'holding area' and brought the very over done food to us. Totally unacceptable!!!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Dancers and singers were just not up to what we are used to (on Princess ships)

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The kids club was the one outstanding thing on the ship. Our grandson LOVED it. And his parents were thrilled with the staff and the hours.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
First night our room steward did not service our room.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Ship is showing its age. Worn carpets and just general overall dingy. Certainly is nothing elegant about it.,

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
EXTREMELY SMALL!!! only good thing was the size of the shower.

Ship tip

Try Princess!

awe, we love Infinity, and its sister ships in the Millennium class. It's a "small" ship experience and that holds charm for us as we're about cruising for R & R as much as visiting the islands. Those that want more of entertainment rush while on board, probably best to stick with the larger ships. On Celebrity, that would be the Solstice class.

So....exactly what was so unacceptable? I'm really looking forward to my cruise on the Infinity next October!

On behalf of all Princess fans here, welcome back home. We will not hold your bad behavior against you (lol). Actually, I think it is good to compare other lines/ships sometimes. May open your eyes to new adventures and ports, or solidify your belief in your cruise line of choice.
