Review summary

Would recommend highly to others. Enjoyed the experience the staff on the ship (all of the staff) were always friendly and helpful. Best stress reliever ever.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I would have rated Excellent, the Cruise ship was great the long walk back and forth and circling through the center before boarding the ship was cumbersome.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dinning experience was excellent. We were seated at table 427 with Luis as our waiter, Javilagon as our assistant waiter and the best sommelier (just always happy and upbeat) Fernando. We were 5 adults and 2 children and last night the children commented that they missed the dinner table on ship, the food was better than at home (I agreed) and that the "man" always knew what they wanted. Best dinning experience I have had in a long time, every night was a hit!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fitness center was nice to have with the colder weather, I am diabetic and had an unlimited drink package so the fitness center for me was a must every morning, clean and staff was wonderful, Pool in the solarium was incredible.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Musicians were great, DJ was a bit repetitious , seemed that every time I went through the same songs were on but he was upbeat. Hit the 9pm show most nights all were good Comedian with the puppet wasn't a slam dunk, may have just been an off night.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The children in our group were not mine but I am their godmother and they raved about the activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Again, Luis, Javilagon and Fernando at dinner were top notch. My room attendant Roger (8128) was also very good, he didn't let anything slip past him all requests were attended to quickly.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was very lovely, looks like the windows in the dinning rooms could use fresh paint, but understand the affects of salt water on metal surfaces.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
My room was very clean the lights over the desk area only worked on the last day but that wasn't a deal breaker and my safe broke the last night. having them fix it in my room seemed a bit much as it was 1 am and we had to be up early for disembarkation so didn't understand why they needed to fix it right then and there. Once they got my belongings out I would have thought the fix could have been taken care of at another time and/or location.

Ship tip

Upgrade to the drink package and concierge is the way to go!

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
Went in three days early walked through the city and went to Granville Island. lots of fun. Maneuvering the city was a bit stressful, bus and train systems are incredible walking through downtown was like any big city we ran into a large homeless population.

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

4 out of 5
Was concerned with the amount of time in the port but when we saw the size of the city and what there was to do it was more that adequate and the city was absolutely lovely.

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
Very pretty saw the Mendenhall glacier and gardens very nice and not as congested as I thought.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Absolutely wonderful adventure going through all the shops, creek street, and enjoying the whole culture of the city.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We were concierge and we were told we had early embarkation and early disembarkation but our "number" was 30 so we were almost the last group to disembark. The area they had us wait in (constellation lounge) was very nice and they had snacks and drinks so the wait wasn't bad it was just a wait.
