Review summary
this is the third time we've been on this cruise with celebrity cruises. We enjoyed it because we love cruising and especially when at the end we are at our home port so no flights!
However as much as we love celebrity it's not quite the same as it used to be. We have been on three other cruise lines and always come back to celebrity. This was our 12 th cruise with them.
Food is big part of a cruise so here's our observations.
1st the ocean view cafe has sectiones of there buffet where there is very little display or presentation it comes accross as a cafeteria buffet. they did away with trays and so people are walking around a lot getting, food ,drinks ,silverware and dessert. The grill at the end of the ship beside the pasta bar was a great addition but quite chaotic, especially when it opens and there is a line
if you hang in there and be patient it's a nice option when there is not anything at the Trellis on the menu that's interesting. My husband and I are in the food business and things stand out to us so maybe this review will sound a little picky to you. But really feeding a few thousand people with any quality is amazing . But we just know how it was just a few years ago.
The Trellis restaurant menu has also changed. We get the feeling that they are trying to make all the ships the same and going the corporate route instead of making everything unique. They do now have healthy options including gluten free.but also cheaper cuts of meat with it seemed no quality control eg undercooked chewy beef. I wonder why when what they had was so wonderful why they changed it so drastically.
as usual everyone on board working was amazing. They work so hard and such long hours and yet are always smiling and so pleasant.
the fact that you have to pay for the sushi is a change however the restaurant was reasonable and the food excellent and well done. We went 3 times .
i loved the "quisine" restaurant my husband not so much. It's quirky, different, and fun but again you have to pay.$45.pp
the food in the specialty restaurants is the level that used to be used in the main dining room. Just an observation.
i guess overall the food was a little disappointing.
Ill leave the ports out for now because we had been to them all several times and did our own thing rather then tours. It also was 100f and 90% humidity.
The entertainmentwas the best we had ever experienced we laughed so much and all were so talented.

Ship tip
Amazing service and people. Good loyalty program, the library is not what it could be but understandable with the kindle craze . Ship was good seemed like new carpeting and chairs, also new chaise lounges on decks 11 and 12
