Review summary
Many of the people on the ship made our time on the cruise superbly enjoyable. Mario and Jayesh made certain every detail in our room was welcoming from the ice they brought each morning and evening to all the questions they answered and information they provided. Sandra in Cafe Baccio greeted me by name each morning and always found time to ask about my day and experiences. Ketut served us with a smile and remembered every person's favorites with every detail! He and "Happy" made my husband and his friend welcome and they couldn't miss a visit at the end of each day for the conversation and camaraderie! And last but certainly not least was Carrie Hempel our United Cruise Advisor. She answered every question we had (and there were many), followed up on every detail, recommended from her experience the best options and most of all cared about our making it an exceptional experience for us.

Ship tip
Recommend the helicopter and dogsledding excursion on Mendenhall Glacier. Also, the nature walk with Jeff at Icy Straights. Both wonderful! Could forgo the Crabfeast at George Inlet. Food was excellent but very little wildlife to see on the boat ride to the crab trap.
