Celebrity Infinity

7 Night Alaska Tracy Arm Fjord (Seattle Roundtrip)

Sail Date: June 17, 2011

Ship: Celebrity Infinity

Cabin Type: Balcony

Review Summary

We loved our family vacation. The ship, Celebrity Infinity, isn't the newest or take your breath away beautiful, but the food, entertainment, staff, crew, etc. were excellent. We were thrilled to have a warm weather week with only scattered showers in Ketchikan, but we didn't need our rain coats the entire trip. We were pleasantly surprised as cruising Alaska is about "the scenery" and that can be marred by bad weather.

One should plan to fish or do something special here as the town itself is really mediocre.

Victoria, British Columbia

You don't need to take a bus or taxi to town. It's a short walk to see the beautiful Parliament Building. We did add our own one hour taxi ride around Victoria to see the beautiful homes, landscaping, etc.
Don't Miss: The Parliament Building and flowers.

Ketchikan, Alaska

We started with a new tour guide who was just horrible. He was being evaluated that day and luckily his evaluator took over or I would have demanded our money back. They should offer "free" or discounted tours when they are training someone new.
Don't Miss: The eagles.

Juneau, Alaska

We enjoyed the train ride to the suspension bridge. Beautiful scenery and fun to ride a train. Being from Montana, we aren't totally blown away by anything we see in Alaska, but it's still a beautiful tour.

Pros: Tracy Arms

Cons: Shore Excursions are too expensive
