Review summary

The only thing worth mentioning is: I have cruised on all lines except Crystal to total over 20 trips around the World. I find Princess giving the best service as it relates to consistency and customer relations. I always look for "going that extra step" to make your cruise memorable. It takes, however, a lot of cruising and experience in customer service to notice the difference. I had no negative experiences.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Need to add free style dining

Entertainment

3 out of 5
One activity scheduled for single staff members must have been misprinted; staff coordinator didn't show up. One game bingo is a rip off. Bingo in general has become much more frugal with winner pay outs on all ships. The shows were "okay."

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Wait staff was not as "experienced/professional/top level" as you would expect. Housekeeping/steward staff was excellent. All other staff good, not excellent.

Ship Quality

No laundry

Ports of call

Sitka, Alaska

5 out of 5
Very charming city; easy to do without tours.

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
We had only one evening from 7 PM till midnight; very excellent port for tours.
Don't Miss: The horse drawn trolley was very good; they also provided blankets for the cold.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Best port for taking tours for whale/wildlife watching; very cordial people.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
This was the best site to just go ashore and poke around. Very easy to do walking and just the right size city to fill the day.
Don't Miss: The river walk or married man's trail with shops and attractions
