Review summary

We chose this cruise because we have a 5 year old boy and a 3 year old boy and we needed a break. We didn't want to try to figure out how to take someone with us on vacation so we could get a rest. The child care crew on the Infinity are wonderful, the boys loved all of them, and we got some much needed break time away from our sons without worrying at all that they were safe and happy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Coming from the Bay Area, we are accustomed to having great food available. We've been on a cruise before where the food was really mediocre. This ship is much better. Some of the food is very good.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

The three year old LOVED the ball pit, and the 5 year old just thought everything was great, especially the video games.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a family veranda suite. We didn't use the balcony much since it was not that warm cruising to Alaska in May, but the room was great. The glass and wood privacy partition that separates the sofa bed from the regular bed was very effective. I just wish we had a light blocking drape we could have pulled across because we stay up much later than our kids and having our lights on made it harder for them to go to sleep.

Ports of call

Ketchikan, Alaska

Sitka, Alaska

Victoria, British Columbia

On this cruise we were in Victoria from 7pm to Midnight. There isn't a lot to see and do, and there isn't much time. We just took the double deck bus tour around the town.

Juneau, Alaska

Don't Miss: If the weather is clear, definitely take the tram up the mountain side!

Pros: We really enjoyed how VERY friendly and courteous all the staff were.
