Celebrity Equinox Cruise Reviews - Reviews

The first night someone tore the metal part of the door around the lock!! When we attempted to go to breakfast the next morning the door would not reclose!! our great room steward stood watch but after 6 hours no one came to fix it so he beat it so it would at least close....it never closed securely the whole remainder of the 14 days!! cabin 1512 Aquaclass.

When we made a written complaint they said the "sea wave action" bent the metal and would offer us nothing!! Even beverages would have been nice!! No customer focus at all from customer relations.  I have photos if the metal...totally bent out...took a strong tool to do it!!

Cruise was awesome! Great itinerary and ports, great amenities and great staff. Dining was made to suit everyone's needs. Ship band Nu Image was amazing and played everything from Reggae to hip hop to Christmas songs to old classics. Speciality restaurant Tuscan was a great experience and atmosphere and they had the best steaks in the world. The process for getting off the boat was the best, we were off by 7:30am.

It was a great cruise.  It was our first cruise longer than 7 days so we were

a little unsure.  There were so many ports and activities

I didn't want it to end!

I NORMALLY AM AT MY BEACH HOME IN EXUMA BAHAMAS DURING THE HOLIDAY, BUT DUE TO DAMAGE FROM HURRICANE MATTHEW THE HOME WAS BEING REPAIRED.  I THEN DECIDED TO DO A HOLIDAY CRUISE. I'M SO GLAD I SELECTED CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE. WITH BEING A PAST GUEST OF CELEBRITY, THE EQUINOX SHIP PROVIDED ME WITH EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATIONS, STAFF MEMBERS (CHRISTOPHER-CABIN STEWARD,BARTENDER - DAVE FROM JAMAICA, EMMA - SHOPS ON THE BOULEVARD, AND MARIA - SILHOUETTE DINING ROOM HOSTESS) DELIVERED CUSTOMER SERVICE UP A BEYOND WHAT IS EXPECTED OR REQUIRED.  THE PORTS OF CALL WERE EXCEPTIONAL AS WELL AS THE OTHER TRAVEL MATES I MET ALONG MY JOURNEY. KUDOS TO CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE, A JOB WELL DONE!!!!

My favorite part of the cruise was the service.  The staff/crew were always so friendly and helpful.  The atmosphere was so relaxing - just what my husband and I needed.

I would really like to see a better selection of items in the shopping area.  It is fun to wander through the shops and take home presents for the family.  However, there was very little to see or select from.  I am finding the same tired watches, purses, and jewelry on every cruise.  The last time  I bought one of the Bella bracelets for my daughter, it was broken when she first took it out of the box.  The same thing happened with my bracelet and my husband's watch.  We would appreciate better quality if you are going to carry it.

This was a good cruise for us.  We wanted to relax and we did.  We enjoyed the ports as well as just being on the ship.  The crew was very courteous and helpful.  Other than relaxation the best part of the cruise was dining in Murano's and The Tuscan Grill.  The rest of the food was good but nothing to brag about.  The disembarkation was handled very well unlike some other ships we have been on.

This ship is a 5.5-star ship, and I believe it got its rating from the outstanding service, great food, and wonderful entertainment. I loved the outdoor pool, but it was hard to get in and out of. Just ladders and no steps with railings. And the indoor pool was too cold with the air conditioning on. The overnight in St. Maarten was nice.

The Silent Disco was the most fun on the ship, Ports were really nice, the reason I went. All of the staff were helpful, sea days were a little boring. Movies play over and over. After dinner shows were good. Best Park West presentation, she was fast and didn't drag it out. If you want to rest that this one, I will be headed back to Royal.

the seating around the pool needs to be adjusted iti is very low, the food is great and the shows are just outstanding.the staff is one of the best ,celberity has the best trained staff, need alittle more actives on board.

Nice cruise, no major complaints...average cruiser age was probably in mid to late 60's and there were only 4 kids on the entire ship.  Did seem that there were limited food options and with the addition of the alcohol drink package, it seemed much harder to get table or poolside service.  St. Martin was amazing, St. Thomas was also nice, but the level of poverty in St. Kitts was depressing.  

SILK HARVEST specialty restaurant food was below average. Mediocre taste, and poor service.

All other aspects of the cruise rate 5 stars for staff, butler, servers, cleanliness, and food in Luminea restaurant.

Great cruise with a nice itinerary.  Beautiful ship, great ports, wonderful food.  of course, perfect weather helped as well.  good getting in and off ship.  no complaints.

Enjoyed the days at sea.  Equinox personnel were outstanding and made our experience great. The Martini bar was one of our favorites, as well as the Mast bar. Jole was great and really made us feel at home.  Ling helped us to book our next cruise to Alaska in September 2017

These are great ships - big enough to never feel crowded. The food in all restaurants is exceptional. The entire crew is friendly and always happy to be of assistance. We loved the tree top zip-line excursion in Costa Rica and the chocolate making / wine pairing in Cozumel.

Panama canal great tour.  Costa Rica poor tour - guide did not speak English well.  Entertainment except for Jayne Curry very poor.  Food O.K. not great.  Overall ok cruise.

Room was very nice.    Staff was excellent.  Food was good.  Unhappy with the type of daily activities offered.   Entertainment was good although with some of the comedians, piano player, etc., parts of the audience walked out.  In general, the music was too loud and in talking to others, that was the reason that they left.  High volume does not make the performance any better.

This ship is NOT for dancers!  The dance floor in the atrium is small, made of hard tile, is crowded with people taking pictures and is awkwardly butted up against the entrance to a large staircase.  The music played by the ships bands is only 30% danceable.  The best Tango music was from the ladies duo (violin and cello).  The dance floor in the Quasar lounge is metal/tile and sticky (it will ruin your shoes and your knees).  The dance floor in the Sky lounge is the best (but is still hard tile).  The food is bland and boring.  The pizza is soggy and undercooked.  The solarium pool is cold!  The cruise director (Alejandro) is a nut case and needs to be replaced.  The ships decorative artwork is ridiculous.

A very enjoyable cruise - ports of call much of a muchness, but nevertheless very enjoyable.  Ship very nice and service excellent.  Extras very expensive - 300 dollars for internet connection, drinks also expensive as was the specialist restaurants which for that reason we didn't visit.  Some of the entertainment in The theatre was quite average - obviously  elebrity are economising and it shows

Food was good but service great. Stops were nice but there were a few glitches in the trip.

I Suffered humiliation and embarrassment by a DJ in karaoke bar. His supervisor and then the cruise director refused to take any action and thought if they ignored it the problem would go away. It didn't. Finally the Guest Relations Manager stepped in and helped resolve the issue to my satisfaction. Just 3 insensitive young men left bad taste in my mouth.

We also had a passenger break her neck with a couple hours of departure and the ship had to turn around and take her back to Miami for medical treatment. We also had a passenger collapse and die of a massive heart attack on our St. Kitts catamaran excursion. Spoiled the day and cruise for his family and left the rest of us bummed out.

Entertainment on the ship I give a 2 on a scale of  1-10. We attended a couple of shows and because they were so bad we left before the performance was finished. 

We always enjoy our Celebrity cruises.  The Equinox is one of our favorite ships and the food in the main dining room never fails to please us.  The servers and the stateroom attendants were excellent.  The Equinox singers and dancers performed beautifully.  The "From the Podium" speakers were interesting.  We will definitely continue to recommend the Equinox to others.
