our 15th cruise and 13th with celebrity - 4th time on Equinox. Our cabin location was supposed to be great and it was probably the worst we have ever had. the veranda was lovely but the noises from above were unacceptable for the price we paid...no one could explain what was causing the loud booms.
Embarkation

fine, it went smoothly
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
first time ever, Luminae was lacking...food undercooked and not very good. dinner in Tuscan was a major disappointment. service was not good and there was an issue with a charge.
Onboard Activities

I used the fitness center.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
the performers in the lounges were very good
Service and Staff

I know ship was understaffed and it was obvious. we basically never saw our main room attendant except when he came to talk to us about our talking to the retreat hostess about not getting some items we requested from him. The only thing I asked for the very first day was feather pillows and ice delivered every day (the feather pillows I requested from celebrity prior to cruise). He never brought ice until the fifth day and then after that I had to ask for it.
Ship Quality

the only major drawback is that there is no elevator access to the retreat sundeck. My husband could not use that suite privilege.
Cabin / Stateroom

we had non-stop noise throughout the cruise. not sure if it was because we were near crew work areas or from the cabin above. about every 30 minutes, there was a loud boom - which woke us up at night and startled us during the day. PLUS SOMEONE VOMITED FROM A DECK ABOVE AND IT SPLATTERED ALL OVER OUR VERANDA.
Happy Anniversary! Sorry about your recent cruise experience. Looking at your cabin location, one would think it would be a very good location and cabin. I’ve always wondered about the aft cabins and you confirmed my concerns. Thanks for the heads up. Hope the cruise was not a total bust.
It seems the cruise lines are lacking and aren't prepared since they started cruising again. It seems they're trying to make up for lost time charging more for less. Customer service seems like they're training with no experience and unaware they're in the hospitality business. Under staffed, ships seem to have been left untouched during the shut down. Food is lacking since the restart. Hopefully it'll improve and get back to why we cruise. Thanks for sharing
