Review summary

Disappointed. The average age of people must be around 65 or older. The music was extremely loud in most locations. There was little beat to the music, only a continuous beat of the drum (LOUD). The drum beat continuous, about every 2 seconds. Even at the bars the musicians were loud. There were few times you could relax without loud music. The porter for our stateroom was great.

It is depressing to see the state of this town. The houses were run down or empty and destroyed. How the residents view us when they are poor.

Details are very helpful when a ship, service, or port are rated mediocre or low. Did you take an excursion or just walk around the port? Did you eat in the buffet, MDR, or specialty restaurants? Were your expectations not met by the cruise line and how? Specifics on your opinions of good, bad, and indifferent help others in their choices on when, where (itinerary), and what line to cruise on. Different lines and ships have different things to offer. We always hope cruisers find their best match for the most fun.

I guess I don't really understand this post. Are you saying that because people are older, they are hard of hearing, therefore, that's why the music is loud? I don't remember that being the case last year when we were on the EQ, but maybe I'm hard of hearing...🙄

Yeah celebrity and princess holland America tend to cater to the older crowd. Try carnival royal or ncl
