Review summary

The ports of call were beautiful. I would do these ports again in a heart beat.probable the best thing on this cruise was our wait staff (Ersin and Antonio). There were many items I didn't know about and Ersin and Antonio were ther to explain what they were. These 2 men were fantastic and if I ever cruise this ship again, I hope these 2 men are at my table.

Embarkation

This went very quick and smooth. The only hiccup was at my station. They were having problems saving a credit card so I had to do it later on in the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dining hall was excellent. Everything from the staff, to the presentation and finally the taste was amazing. Our staff (Ersin, Antonio, Rishid and Roger were fantastic. They were very friendly and knowledgeable on the dinners and drinks that complemented our dinners. The Ocenview was a wonderful buffet area from the way it was set up to the different sections we had everyday.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Because we aren't the type of people to lay around the pool we sometimes found it hard to find entertainment. It would be nice to have more options in the evening, like Carnival offers.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The main entertainment was great. What I liked about the comedians was that they were kid friendly. A little too much singing for me, I would have liked to have seen a magician or an acrobatic show.

Children's Programs

The only reason I rated this low was because my son was never able to hook up with anyone in his age group. The women who ran the Fun Factory were great. I think when my son moves up to the next age group he will be able to use this area more. I saw a lot of teens running together.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Not one complaint. My cabin steward was very friendly. He spoke to my family everyday we saw him - I liked that. He did a fine job prepping our room everyday. Our wait staff at dinner was AMAZING. Ersin greated us every evening. His knowledge and recommendations were spot on. Everything he recommend I enjoyed. Antonio, his assistant, was also great. He was attentive and warm hearted. When we saw both of these gentleman at lunch, they always greated us by our names (this was touching to my family). They made us feel like regulars or friends. Rishid was excellent in his wine recommendations. We would tell him what we were planning for our dinner and then he would recommend the perfect wine. Roger had my sons drink waiting for him everyday. He was very good and remembering our drinks and when we would ask him for a good before dinner drink, he knew the answer. Unfortunately I can not remember the numerous staff that wired on us throughout the ship. From the Gastro Bar to the Cafe to the theater, everyone that waited on us was so friendly and eager to help.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was kept very clean. The only place was was a little tricky to get to was the Fun Factory. I loved the way Ovenview Was laid out with the multiple stations. This area is far more superior then Carnivals buffet area.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was very clean and nice. I would have preferred my bed closer to the door. I feel the bed being by the main door made the room feel smaller. The last time I cruised my bed was by the balcony which made it feel larger.

Ship tip

This is a wonderful ship that is easily to maneuver. The design and decor is great. Entertainment for my taste a little week.
