Although the Equinox ship was lovely, clean and the staff was accommodating and friendly, we would not choose this cruise line again. Our experiences on other cruise lines were superior in giving us the enjoyable cruise experience one looks for in a vacation.

As “concierge” class, we had the option of buffet meals or only one sit down restaurant without paying for the upgrade to the speciality restaurants. Although we ate frequently at the buffet for the varied selection, we found the quality to be similar to homemade. Not the expected chef quality or presentation. The Silhouette restaurant was very nice. Beautiful decor, attentive waiters and elegant chef prepared dinners. Room service breakfast was almost inedible. It was frequently overcooked as if it had been sitting under the lights too long before delivered.
Onboard Activities

Onboard activities were almost non existent. The majority of activities offered were spa services, relaxing by the pool or purchases made on board or the casino.

The offered entertainment was subpar. The Cabernet singers and dancers were more like musicial students than professional entertainers.

We did find the service and staff very accommodating and pleasant. Our Steward - Arnold was superior. He was always friendly, upbeat and catered to our every need.

The ship design was lovely and the cleanliness was exceptional.

Our cabin was wonderful. The location at the rear of the ship with a large balcony was very spectacular. We spent a lot of time on this balcony. There was plenty of storage for an 11 day vacation.
Ship tip
If a relaxing sit by the pool, pampering yourself at the spa, paying for specialty dining is what you are looking for, this cruise would be fine. However, if you are expecting a bit more quality entertainment and activities while onboard, this is not the cruise for you.
Very poorly organized. After waiting for our group to be called, we were directed to airport style luggage carousels to await our luggage. Of the 3 checked luggage pieces only 2 were found on the designated carousel. After an hour and a half of searching with no assistance from staff, the remaining piece was finally located on a completely different carousel. Horrible experience.
