Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Having food sensitivities, I was a bit anxious about my dining options. However, there was such a variety and everything was clearly labeled with gluten free, no sugar added, vegan, lactose free. I enjoyed the variety at the Oceanview buffet for breakfast and lunch. Dining at The Cosmopolitan Restaurant in the evening felt very decadent. The menu items were also clearly labeled and the wait staff were very accommodating. There were many options available throughout the day. Tea, coffee and juices were included.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I enjoyed Tai Chi on our first morning at sea, it was the perfect way to start our adventure! The solarium pool was wonderful in the cooler climate. The massage experience at the spa was exceptional. The ship had many places to gather with friends or to have quiet moments. Eden and the solarium were two favorites. I used the walking track on Decks 15 and 16 everyday and loved being able to walk outside, enjoying the beautiful views and fresh air. I also enjoyed the decorative art all around the ship.
Entertainment

The comedian and musical offerings were enjoyable.
Children's Programs
I was not traveling with children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the staff were friendly, polite and knowledgable. Our cabin steward, Aristotle helped us feel comfortable and cared for, he made sure that we knew how to use the room features and let us know when he was available should we need anything. He kept our room clean and tidy! The staff at The Cosmopolitan Restaurant, were friendly and accommodating. Our waiters, Glenn and Santi made a great team! They were personable and fun, they were aware of my food sensitivities and made sure that I still had gf bread and gf dessert! Dexter and Vishal were also delightful. Winda, the host, was very sweet and helpful with our requests. Patt provided a relaxing and wonderful massage experience. Janet, Deck 14 hand sanitizer station, was always smiling, welcoming and fun. Pamela, Deck 14 ladies room, was always friendly and helpful. Sameer was accommodating with my disembarkation questions.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was clean and well maintained with very interesting design themes and decorations. We struggled a little with cabin signage on Deck 3, it was confusing, likely due to the Guest Relations area breaking up the odd side of the cabin galley. I would have loved to have bottle fillers on each deck. I like to sip water throughout the day and going to Deck 14 to fill my water bottle was a bit cumbersome.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was perfect for our needs.
Ship tip
Bring plenty of magnetic hooks, they can be used anywhere in the cabin to keep coats and outdoor gear off the floor!
Lovely scenery, easy walk to the town from the pier. we thoroughly enjoyed the Tatoosh Wilderness Kayaking Excursion! The staff had extra rain gear and were encouraging and experienced. This offered us a chance to see more of the area and experience sea kayaking. Bus drivers were knowledgable and entertaining!
Shuttle buses were easily available so that we could explore the port, after we took an excursion to the Alaska State Museum and Salmon Bake. The atmosphere at the Salmon Bake was delightful! It was fun to talk a short walk into the rain forest and enjoy the scenery and waterfall. The eating spaces were covered and well designed and the food was delicious. The bus drivers were knowledgable, friendly and entertaining.
We enjoyed shopping in Skagway, not too far from the pier, after our Klondike Bike excursion. The scenery was breath taking and we took frequent stops for pictures. The Sockeye Cycle Team staff were very entertaining and encouraging. They provided extra gear and water bottles! Highly recommend.
