Overall very good but that is the least I would expect from Celebrity considering the cost.

Review summary

Very good cruise, excellent ship, nice itinerary. Just what I would expect from Celebrity.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Walzed through check in only to be waiting with absolutely hundreds of others . Then after aqua class and concierge class were called imagine what it was like when intimate balconies were called. Yes, hundreds get up at the same time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Speciality excellent (Fine cut steakhouse & Raw on Five), Eden Garden was a fabulous experience although food a little overrated. As for the Magic Carpet, great place for a drink but $95_00 a head for dinner, diabolical. Same food as Raw on Five one night but $40_00 more ! Ocean view cafe excellent like all celebrity ships but the four main dining rooms not quite as good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools excellent.

Entertainment

Theatre was a fantastic experience with the special effects. The artists were incredible.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Generally very good. Room steward good, bar staff and drinks waiters good, coffee shop waiting staff were superb. Staff in four main restaurants not so good especially if you went to the 1st show in the theatre. It was a little like they all wanted to get away for the night.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Superb design, lovely public areas, could do with another bar maybe on deck 5 midship. Very clean throughout the ship. However !!! The handwash stations at the oceanview cafe just do not work. Scores of guests walk straight past them and do not even use the disinfectant either. Time and again guests shrug their shoulders when challenged. Disgraceful !

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Could possibly do with more wardrobe space. Shutters on the infinite balconies need sorting out. When they do work they are very noisy. Cleanliness was very good.

Ship tip

Pick a cabin more midship closer to restaurant and bars.

Walk straight off the ship and you are in the town. Lovely mix of old and new.

Gibraltar (U.K.)
