Celebrity Eclipse is a great ship. General: stay away from thanksgiving and holiday cruises on any cruise line; reason very crowdy and noisy

Bring printed copies of every receipt, voucher and statement for every single purchase or package associated with your trip. I spent hours with Guest Services working to get purchases we made months in advance with Celebrity credited to our account or to have upgrades purchased in advance updated to our accounts. This nonsense significantly detracted from our desire to sail with Celebrity again. Seriously, if their system can't track purchases they sent me a receipt for.. I just don't know what to say. It was very frustrating.

There are always places to find peace and quiet if that is what you are looking for. We were concerned since we knew the swimming area would not get much use, but still found many areas to sit without being involved in an activity.

Check out the smoking areas before booking your room, avoid deck 6 port side balcony as smoking section right below.

Don't go for cabins on deck 12, generally they are more likely to be noisy.

I would say if you have kids this isn't the cruise for you. I feel this was geared towards an older crowed.
