Review summary

Celebrity always does a great job with providing guests with an upgraded level of cruising, fine dining, and numerous activity options on sea days. However, the itinerary was not one of our favorites.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in Blu was generally very good, with a few not so good meals. Le Petit Chef was cute and the meal was very good. However, with only two menu options, we will not go again. The Tuscan Grill and Murano’s were excellent as always. After 9 cruises with Celebrity, and dining at both venues several times, we have never been disappointed!

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The entertainment was generally good. We are not fans of the production shows, or the acrobatics, although we did enjoy Rock City. Amedus, on the other hand was awful. All performers were very good.

Aqua Class Balcony was fine with plenty of storage space. However, our toilet stopped working on two separate occasions, once for over 4 hours. Guest services did send someone Immediately to look into the problem.

Ship tip

Bring a bath size bar of soap as you only get shower gel that doesn’t lather or small bar of soap.

Ports of call

Cartagena, Spain

We have been here several times and always enjoy seeing the Amphitheater and surroundings. This time we did a Tapa Tasting walking tour which was excellent.

Lanzarote, Canary Islands

Beautiful beaches vs volcanic landscape. Very unusual!

Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands

Not many sites to see, but there’s always shopping.

Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer should not be missed, but sites are extremely crowded and moving about can be very slow.

Santos (Sao Paulo), Brazil

This stop was a total waste of time. Arrived at a commercial port where passengers had to take a shuttle to the terminal to take another bus. Mass confusion at the terminal. We spent most of our time off the ship sitting in traffic.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Beautiful city with lovely architecture. Recoleta Cemetary tour is a must.
