Delightful Brief Cruise by henrygarretson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

As always, the boarding process was efficient.  Our room was perfect, with a bottle of champagne sitting in ice waiting for us.   The food was great (I think Celebrity has the best food of all cruise lines).  I'm going to stick with Celebrity.Love

Celebrity Constellation - Key West/Bahamas - Nov 19 by ayre26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

-Concierge service is not as good as it used to be. Staterooms seemed smaller than before, although clean. Too much emphasis on Celebrity ratings towards end of the cruise. For example, our stateroom attendant, whom we had not seen since the 1st day of the cruise, suddenly appeared to remind us that we needed to rate her a 10 and mention her name in our survey feedback to Celebrity.

-In main dining room, 4 people had to send back the veal chop as inedible - have never had to send any food back on Celebrity before. Maitre'D, Assistant Maitre D'Hotel and waiter in the main dining room were all very kind and apologetic, replacing the food with alternate selections within 2-3 minutes. Waiter was quite concerned that his evaluation would be "less than 10" because the cooks had made a mistake.

-Ship had just come in from Europe (Transatlantic cruise) on the morning of our embarkation and received tons of supplies. The shops and dining areas were clearly in some disarray as a result. A day's delay between the ship's arrival from Europe and departure for the Bahamas cruise would have likely made a big difference to both crew and passengers.

Best first cruise ever! by wescruises

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Transatlantic

We had an excellent transatlantic cruise with the Celebrity Constellation--our first cruise ever! We loved every part of the cruise. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful, the programs & shows were very well done. We really enjoyed the updates & programs that Captain Tasos gave. We especially enjoyed the programs by the Holocaust survivor and by Lloyd Figgens, the adventurer.

We would like to give a clear shout-out to the waiters we interacted with most: Ramzi & Ismet (both from Turkey)--they were excellent. Our stateroom steward, Jagarnath, also gave us excellent service & deserves recognition too.

We also enjoyed the guest Bible Study that met on sea days in the conference room. Excellent fellowship & spiritual nourishment. Why not have a planned worship service as well for those who would like to participate?

not up to par by preciousmoments

overall our experience was not very pleasant from, scarce activities, smelly restrooms, water soaked carpet in cabin, and a somewhat less than helpful front desk. good food, nice wait staff, and cabin crew.

My first Transatlantic by lailoken9

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

This was an excellent itinerary. Don't miss the port of Cartagena, Spain, a beautiful town with lots of history. The staff made the crossing fun, with plenty of activities to engage in.

Wonderful itinerary on a great ship by paulhough84557

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Transatlantic

I chose this cruise based on the itinerary and I'm so glad I did. The ports were great, but the best part of the cruise was the crew on the ship. Everyone went out of their way to to make sure the guests were taken care of, and everyone seems to love doing it. And even though it costs extra, I highly recommend going to the two specialty restaurants. They are well worth the money, especially if you book as a package. The other restaurants were also good, and the buffet was better than expected (but always very hectic). There was always plenty of things to do and you can't possibly do everything you want. The ship itself is beautiful and our cabin (inside) was bigger than I expected, but I don't think I'd try to squeeze 3 people in there. When choosing a cabin, if you go to bed early, stay away from the front of the ship. We were on deck 7 and could hear the music from the theater on decks 4/5, but it usually quieted down after 10:30 to 11.

I would love to take this cruise again.

Celebrity Constellation, meh! by grantclan3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Transatlantic

We would probably give this cruise a 3.5 out of 5 but we went with the lower because it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Since food seems to be the main focus on cruises, we thought the food was average. The specialty restaurants had good food but the buffet and main dining rooms were average. The ship was dated and though they might have upgraded the ship, they didn't seem to do that with the regular staterooms. The activities were ok and they had some good lectures which were appreciated. Communication needs to improve with special occasions. They forgot my wife's birthday on the day we scheduled it and then forgot it the next night even after I talked to a manager. He informed me that he put it in the system, but evidently didn't. We finally got it on the last night of our cruise after a friend of ours became insistent. The one saving grace for this cruise was the crew. Outstanding in every way from cabin attendants to servers.

Great cruise by richardprice

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

It would have been a 5 star if we wouldn't have had the bathroom issue, but once Celebrity was aware they took care of it right away.

Food was good, but the service was a little slow. We missed some of the night entertainment due to it taking 2 and half hours for dinner.

The ship was clean and the staff very friendly.

We had no issues in Istanbul, and Croatia was probably the highlight. Both ports were vey beautiful and clean.

Celebrity Constellation | Oct 12, 2015 | 11 Night Greece Turkey & Croatia (Istanbul Roundtrip) by ivapnyar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship is not in the good shape. Stateroom air conditioner did not work, minibar  did not cool. Strong smell of urine in the stateroom bathroom. After multiple requests we were told that there was water under the floor tiles. Tiles were finally replaced. One of the closet doors had the broken hinge, the other hinge was loosing screws. the door almost fell down. Stateroom key/ship card stopped working, had to replace them 2 times. Aqua spa facilities sporadically stopped working for a few days, even we paid for a full cruise for using them.

NOT Value for your money by jvazquez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

1. Food is plentiful but not good quality.  Lacking in taste and creativity.

2.  Shore Excursion tour in Efesus:  POOR.  Guide was not knowledgeable, told us to look everything up on Google.  Rather than talk about ancient site, would show us pictures of his vacations on his smart phone.

3. Variety shows included an overwweight Dutch singer who had to constantly pull up her strapless gown....

4.  The main singers in the variety shows would almost shout, too loud, ending each song in a loud, shouting type falseto.... it gets boring when each song starts sounding the same.

5. On 2 occasions, the song repertiore was repeated by one solo artist one night, and the variety show singers the next night, or vice-versa.

Turkey - Safe and Fun by ewestgard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

After a brief visit to Turkey a few years back we wanted to go to Istanbul.  The October Constellation trip was a good price performer in the off season.  We even got the free tips package, which was also popular with the crew as these cannot be removed :) The embarkation was smooth and trouble free.  We took the Havatas Airport Bus (13TL) and stayed at The Point Hotel in Taksim Square which was right at the bus drop off.  We had the hotel call the cab in the morning to get to the ship.  Note- negotiate cab fares up front- meters are ignored.  This is a nice, well run ship.  We marveled at the view of Istanbul before we left and wished to stay longer.  We could find a decent beer (Leffe and an American Microbrew IPA) and the Captain was Greek and very entertaining and interesting.  I was super cranky at the posted sign when I went to try to change to Anytime Dining (full don't bother) and the MDR food was OK - they have no idea how to make soup.  The water for making tea was lukewarm as per legal requirements is a guess.  We heard a lot of grumbling it was hard to find free food later in the afternoon or very late at night. We love the MDR vs. the buffet experience and the service was flawless.   The highlight of the ship for us was the band- we like to ballroom dance.  Kathleen and The Saints were in the aft lounge every night.  The dance floor was a bit small but we made it work.  There was a fabulous Euro DJ (Inferno) who played every night in the Martini Bar.  Sadly you could not find him where there was a dance floor.  No smoke was noticed anywhere :) They would open the helicopter pad for important sightseeing spots and you could chat with the Officers (the Housekeeping Director was a great resource for questions) - this was a nice touch.  There was no piped in music in the library- yaa.  This was our first time on Celebrity.  They need a bigger variety of shore excursions at Kusadasi- we were less interested in ruins after 11 days.  The ports were excellent- Corfu was just amazing for the forts and Greek lunch.

Best Itinerary by frankr103

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Greatest itinerary! Can't pick a favorite place, loved them ALL! There's so much history in each one of them. It's well worth taking tours, and paying that much more. It's a one in a lifetime trip. The ship and activities/shows were disppointing.

Croatia, Turkey, Greece by AndyLa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The ship was clean, the crew was friendly and attentive, food was very good. The itinerary was quite good... a better choice might be a ten day cruise with the additions of a couple more Greek islands and Athens (Piraeus).    Entertainment was a bit cheezy, mostly because of poor choreography, some very strange costumes and some questionable musical selections.  Shuttle service to the old town in Corfu was disjointed... requiring a walk to the port buses, disembark to walk through the customs building and then board the shuttle.  It seemed as though not all ships in port were doing this particular little dance. All in all though, enjoyable and good value.

50Th birthday trip for my Wife by jamesperry281

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The cruise was great. I enjoyed all the stops that we have made. The wait staff was not very attentive in the pool area. Always had to chase them down, and finally just gave in an just went to the bar to get our own drinks. Disappointed in that, and about half of them seemed to be pained in waiting on people to get their drink order.

Great experience! by Desv

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

This was such an amazing experience. I have to express special thanks to the medical crew on the cruise: Dr. Rosa, Daniella, Bianca and Tonya who took exceptional care of me when I unexpectedly got ill during the commencement of my cruise. Thanks to a great medical team, I was better within a couple of days which permitted me to truly enjoy my trip. Great service and staff!

Very nice cruise itinerary and also a good ship, with a crew caring for the passengers. Drawback: Two ports required tendering, but worked well - and the very  hot weather this early August.Happy

Summer Time Fun by geraldmcnutt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Hoped to have lots of fun.  The 2 small pools were not enough for this large ship.

Celebrity Constellation has too many people on it for the size of swimming pools.

Nice work out room. Buffet dinning was average. Night time seated dinning was

excellent.  Wrong time of year to visit Venice, TOO HOT & SWEATY !

Entertainment was poor or average. Other than that Greek Islands were nice.
