Ship tip

Our experience on the Constellation was great. The only downside was that our previous cruises with Celebrity were on newer, larger Edge-class ships (Apex and Beyond). Fifteen year old excellence did not quite match two year old spectacular. Everything seemed smaller and less special. Food and service were as good as on an all inclusive vacation on land. The crew hasn’t quite earned the promotion to be on an Edge-class ship. Things would have felt better if this had been our first cruise with Celebrity.

The rest of the excursion group was moving too fast for old folks. They had to wait of us and we’re not happy about it.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

Ruins were interesting but very crowded. The rug “school” was as also a store. Very hard sell.

Rhodes, Greece

Master’s villa was MEH. Wandering round in the old (touristy) town was interesting.

Ravenna, Italy

We had just spend two days in Venice. While the ship was in Ravenna, we stayed on board.

Mykonos, Greece

We booked a trip on a small boat. It rained.
