Review summary

The main dining room had lovely service, nice people but the food was not good. Our two best dinners were eaten at a port, and in the back cafe. The last night we ate in the main dining room even though we all thought the menu choices were sketchy. But we wanted to say goodbye to our waiters. I got food poisoning from some squash soup. Really sick for the next three days. Big disappointment for a Celebrity Cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
I would give the Ocean View Cafe in the back of the boat 5 stars for every day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Ship's main dining room I would give 1 star, so I split the difference with 3.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The gym, spa are excellent. Used the hot tubs by the main pool, the ones in the solarium spa area were too chlorine smelling.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Only saw the magician but he was great.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It's an older ship. There is an odd stair to nowhere in the middle section that is always roped off with a musical act at top. But it was well maintained, clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small, but the window is very large. It was clean. Bathroom seemed roomier than other ships I've been on.

Ship tip

Eat at specialty restaurants or in the back.

Ports of call

Venice, Italy Did not visit port

Flew in and had to go straight to boat.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

My husband and I walked the Wall of the old City (excursion) and my daughters Kayaked and loved it. Ate dinner at Dubrovnik Restaurant in old town, best meal of the trip.

Souda (Chania), Crete

My favorite port. Went to see the ruins, very interesting. Great excursion.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

4 out of 5
Excursion to Acropolis and Parthenon is a must. It's a hike and it's very crowded. Like Disneyland.

Mykonos, Greece

4 out of 5
Took a boat ride to a beach excursion. Swam from the boat, and from the lovely beach. Great trip. Water is spectacular. Then walked through city after excursion for lunch.

Rhodes, Greece

4 out of 5
We went to on the excursion to the farther away beach. It was lovely. Whole family went parasailing... 60euros each. Really fun.

Santorini, Greece

4 out of 5
Spectacularly scenic. Did the trip to Oia and the wine tasting. The visit to the winery was a nice respite, but there was no tour, just samples. City gets hot and crowded fast.

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

5 out of 5
We did self-guided, as the tour was very expensive. The ruins are really interesting, but I recommend a guide so you can really learn more.
