Review summary

This cruise is too ambitious. Or else celebrity is too cheap to overnight anywhere. We saw so little of the port of calls it was ridiculous. If I were planning this cruise I would forget Corfu entirely, (and Dubrovnik, which offers nothing) and overnight in Santorini as it is too difficult to see everything and get back down the mountain on that fanicular in such a short period of time. Then the day at sea would be one day sooner allowing for an overnight in Naples, as well, as there is much to see there. The trip was far too rushed. Plus, I would not charge for soft drinks (sodas) etc. just liquor, wine and beer. Makes Celebrity look cheap. That said, your staff is fabulous but you need to hire just a few more and rotate days off. They aren’t slaves. They need time off, too.

Ship tip

I would tell them not to buy the beverage packages because they are silly. No one should charge for sodas and soft drinks. Just add a few dollars to the cruise and you’d look much more first rate. Presently, the cruise line appears cheap because of that. Beverage packages should only include liquor, wine and beer.

I don’t think anyone gives free soda. They have a soda package and it’s not too expensive.

Obviously, cruises are not for you. Live and learn. Take land vacations where you can pick how long you stay in places, and stay longer if you want to. The rest of us will be thrilled with a chance to see Dubrovnik and Corfu. And try to find a hotel that won’t charge you for soda. Lots of luck.

Dubrovnik old town is amazing did you go there

Ships are also guests of each town. And not all towns want, or allow overnight ships in their ports. Amount of time is often up to them, not the cruise line.

You will need to go to Celebrity's website and make comments to them, we are just fellow passengers and do not control cruise lines. I'm pretty sure that overnighting at two ports is cheaper than sailing to four ports so I don't think adding a different port every day is a matter of being cheap. It is the way they attract the most customers. Some may want to go to Corfu but have never heard of Santorini. Short visits are the downside of cruising.
