Seems cost cutting has been made but these are creating disappointed customers. Telephones are cheap now and don’t have a speaker button and you need this if you are made to wait 20 minutes to speak to room service. 45 minute wait for room service is bad and definitely not 5 star. Also no cheese at all on breakfast room service menu even for aqua class. Infinity cabins disappointing instead of balconies. Breakfast room service really bad quality and some days got 1 danish and other days 4 danishes, so no consistency.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was well presented and tasty overall, BUT something was missing compared to previous trip on Millennium. On Millennium I felt the service at Blu was amazing, here it was not as good. For instance when I asked for a meal from the other restaurant (as I was travelling with 2 others and one had dietary requirements) they gave it to me begrudgingly. Also the food on millennium was always cooked perfectly, here twice I had over cooked food. Also the buffet on beyond was simply not as good as Millennium with essential things missing some days and short opening hours. I know they work hard and service was always with a smile, but it seems they were just overworked. And you can’t smile properly when you are not that happy. Best parts were the coffee shop and the service. Ps room service was aweful, 20 mins on hold to speak to someone on peak times and food taking 45 mins to come.
Onboard Activities

I guess for the crowd it was just about right. You dont come on celebrity to mountain climb or ice skate. Go on Royal instead for activities. However, I still felt something was missing. Where was the destination advice?I love when there is a 30 minute presentation the day before of next day’s port I never saw that. Also Celebrity, please do proper port reviews for the tv channel. It’s getting worse and worse and JUST about selling tours but you can’t even buy the tours on board as they were all sold out.

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
9 out of 10 staff were truly amazing, and luckily negated the handful of staff that seemed miserable or were stressed and passed those feelings on to customers. This is general hospitality advice, miserable staff should not be employed as front facing staff, come on, it’s basic business advice if you want people to keep coming back!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was brilliant, was a little confusing how the main restaurant was split into multi restaurants. my suggestion is to rename them as EG Cyprus (main main dining) as there was a lot of confusement. Also, those infinity veranda cabins, really don’t like and much prefer a real veranda, infinity verandas should be called large windows that open and not verandas. Only because of this preference, I probably won’t go on Beyond again, unless I can afford a suite, but at the moment suite prices are too high. the greats are bathroom size is now the perfect size, beds were very comfortable on this ship although I would prefer 100% cotton sheets and not the mixed poly cotton that make me sweat.

Ship tip
Next ship, how about making half real verandas again, yes we know it’s easier for you to clean and is easier to maintain, but it’s a big disappointment for people who love sitting on balconies and getting some sun. Yes, you could leave cabin and sit anywhere on the ship as plenty of room but it’s not the same as your own balcony.
Wish very impressed with Malta, but we got lucky, people told us how to go up in elevator rather than walk all the way, why don’t Celebrity give out important advice like that and we had to hear it from another passenger who saw we were hot and tired.
I experienced the infinite veranda balcony first on Edge. It was very clear in all of the marketing how these rooms and windows operated, so I wasn’t surprised or disappointed. It’s just a little different, but it does give you more “room” space in this type of cabin.
Since then we’ve only sailed suite class on edge ships, due to the additional amenities, and it’s hard to go back.
We sailed on the Beyond June 23, and I will say that we were surprised and a little disappointed with the Infinite Veranda. Not sure if we did not understand fully what we were receiving, but because of this we chose an upgrade to Aqua Class SkySuite for our Bermuda cruise.
