Certainly do not be afraid to go on a celebrity cruise. We felt welcome with just the right amount of energy and sophistication. If you can go into a suite I would recommend it. But even if you do not go into a suite consider the concierge service so you can get a little extra attention when and if you need it. If you are happy without roller coasters and water slides this is the perfect cruise line for you.

Study the deck maps very well before boarding, and book a cabana adjacent to the pool on sea days.

Bring your own books as library is gone. There is a small bookshelf by guest services with limited selections.

Don’t bother with Concierge class….not worth the extra, the “exclusive” lunch on embarkation was nothing special and the dedicated departure lounge was just a cordoned off area in one of the restaurants with a poor choice of pastries and coffee for breakfast. Also the wifi included is useless and if you need it forces you to pay the extra for premium access
