Embarkation

Smooth and quick

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Service was extremely attentive and fast for drinks. Restaurant food was very good with excellent service. Food variety was good at main dining rooms. Buffet was crowded at times especially on at sea days. Quality and variety of food at buffet was very good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We played trivia every day and watched the shows. We did not use the fitness center nor the pools.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Better than previous cruises that we were on

Children's Programs

Did not bring children. There were only two children on the cruise and only a few teenagers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Steward was great as were the dining room waiters, wine stewards and dining room assistants. The Maitre d associated with two of the main dining rooms was extremely friendly and attentive. He always steered us toward the tastiest meals.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful design and layout. There were plenty of seats in most venues, but some areas where popular shows were located a shortage of seating resulted. Common areas were extremely clean. We constantly saw people cleaning all areas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was fantastic. Layout was well thoughtful. Bathroom was sufficiently large and had good storage. Loved the extra room by combining the balcony space into the room with the retractable window.

Ship tip

Laundry service is expensive so plan you use of clothes appropriately

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

We arrived and just got on the ship

Valencia, Spain

3 out of 5
This city did not have any interesting sights. We visited a couple of churches and shopped.

Malaga, Spain

4 out of 5
We went to the Picasso Museum. We wanted to take a particular excursion but it was full.

Gibraltar (U.K.)

4 out of 5
We had been there before so we knew where to go without an excursion. We saw the apes and St. Michael’s Caves.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

3 out of 5
A cute city but not much to see. We wanted to take a tour but the ship was late arriving and there was only 2 hours of daylight left for a 3-1/2 hour tour. The day was foggy also.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
We shopped and looked around. This is a good beach location, but many were closed due to the hurricane that came through a couple of days earlier

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Just got off the ship and renter a car to drive home.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Slow, and long lines. Luggage was available when they told us it would be, but there were long lines at that time to disembark. Customs/Immigration was slow as there were not separate lines for US citizens.
