Great vacation just make sure you prepay the gratuities before embarkation. It’s a surprise to get hit with that additional charge on the second to last day.

Cruised with a large group. Overall great experience.

More issues than expected I’ll just remain on land for future vacations

The Vista is great and we will definitely go on her again. The staff was amazing and the ports were fun. We also met some great people and some have become our friends.

I will be booking my next cruise on another cruise line for my next vacation.

Just got off the Vista and I already miss her....the food in all locations was very good, just plan extra time if you do the brunch on sea days.... they have some issues with that. We decided to go to the brunch on the last sea day and were there about 2 hours... slow service from waiters. We were on deck 1, and the additional shower/tub and sink came in very handy. Cruise Director Matt has found his calling, like he was born for this job! The ship is arranged differently from the others I’ve sailed but it’s not hard to figure out. Plenty of deck chairs, and the lines were not that bad in the Lido Buffet or any other place for that matter. We had early dining in the Reflections restaurant and out table servers Edyn, Iputu, and Ronel were fantastic! Our cabin steward Mario was always attentive to our needs and did an outstanding job. I’d leave again today if not for having to go back to work tomorrow!

7 night out of Galveston stopping in Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. The port of Galveston is old and not very efficient. The cruise, and the vista were ok, but the ship was extremely overcrowded. The pools were overcrowded with not enough seating.

I seriously had the best time! I’m ready for another cruise and I would definitely go on the Vista again!

We really enjoyed the Vista. I may still prefer the Magic but the Vista has a lot to offer. We missed the atrium with the bank of glass elevators but the new setup is good. We loved the 5th deck, inside and out with the piano bar, sushi, pub, Havana bar, etc. The sky cycle was interesting. It is worth a round or two for the view. The serenity deck was always packed but we were always able to find somewhere quiet to relax. The shows were typical. America Rocks was our favorite. After the show the 80’s dance party was a lot of fun if only to watch from deck 6. Matt is very good at what he does. The atrium was rocking and all were having a good time. As usual the Carnival staff were great. Reflections dinning room and staff were great for dinner every night. So welcoming and accommodating. Our steward was super friendly and attentive. Can’t say a bad thing about any staff. Bonsai Sushi was good. The Red Frog Pub is a great hang out. Enjoy the music in the Havana Bar. Not sure why more people didn’t go there. Of course Guys Burgers were outstanding. Guys Pig and Anchor were just ok but convenient when laying on deck 5. Embarkation and self debarkation were a breeze. Embarkation was faster but everything on the return is a let down back to reality.

Chose the Vista out of Galveston thinking that it would save us (family of 5) money on our cruise vacation. However, Carnival now charges for so many things (food, entertainment, etc) onboard that the price of the cruise ends up being considerably higher than the rate you pay up front. Add to that the additional cost of transportation to and from Galveston, and I found that this cruise ended up costing us more than a comparable 7 day cruise on another cruiseline with a larger ship out of Port Canaveral, Ft. Lauterdale, or Miami. Will not use Carnival again - we'll stick with the "other" cruise line for the better ship layout, added space, and fewer extra charges onboard.

If you are thinking of booking the Vista... Please do so. You will have so much fun.

Overall it was a great cruise. Highly recommend Havana area.

My daughter (9) and I always do a spring break cruise. This year we wanted to try out either the Horizon or the Vista, so we chose to sail the Vista, despite the itinerary being exactly the same as our SB sailing last year. Beautiful ship, but one of the most crowded and most complex that I’ve been on. SkyRide was awesome!

I will book this ship again and participate in more onboard activities

Have fun like i did. Try the teriyaki steak at bonsai. Yum

Carnival has always been great to me! The staff are super accommodating. There is always a "back up" plan for events or if things go south. We had a small bump getting on the tender at Belize, but it was nothing major! The ship is clean and spacious.

Great ship. Really enjoyed it. So much to do. Loved the specialty dining options. Crew was good, not the best that we’ve had. Shows were awesome the dancers and singers did well! Matt the cruise director was fab!

Overall it was great just a little crowded and long lines for buffett and burgers but dining room was very nice

Fun times with friends! Entertainment was great, especially the salsa band and the piano bar.

Kind of felt this cruise is heard more toward the younger crowd but we had fun anyway.
