Review summary

This was my husband's first cruise and he loved it so much, he asked me where we are cruising the next time before our cruise even ended.  The islands we went to were so beautiful, with the turquoise water and white sandy beaches with palm trees.  A perfect oasis for relaxation!  What really struck me was how our waiter and room steward called us by name every time they saw us.  They anticipated your needs before you had to ask for anything.  One day when we were relaxing on the deck in the sun, we came back to our room to find a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for no reason.  It was an unexpected surprise!  We are currently planning our next Carnival cruise and deciding where we want to go next.  We had such a wonderful experience on Carnival, we wouldn't cruise with anyone else.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was outstanding, and you had a variety to choose from.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We had fun at the deck party, but it would have been nice to have a couple of slow songs to dance with my husband instead of all the music being geared to the young people. We felt like our age group was forgotten about.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The karoake was fun to watch, and the singer Marcus Anthony was a first class entertainer who got the audience to participate in his show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Nancy our room steward was wonderful and so nice and friendly, so was Ruben, one of our waiters and Denny our other waiter, who always knew what we needed before we even had to ask for anything.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

We had an oceanview, which we loved. Next time we are going to try a cabin with a balcony recommended from 2 couples we met onboard who said it was worth the extra money.

Ship tip

The Serenity Deck was nice because nobody under 21 could go on this deck. It was especially laying in the hammocks. The only negative thing was that every time we wanted to go in the hot tub, they were crowded, so we never were able to get in the hot tubs.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We loved the Dolphin Encounter, they let us spend a lot of time with the dolphins and didn't rush you. We also had some beach time which was relaxing!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We went on the glass bottom Tiki Boat and loved spending time on the beautiful beach!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
We went on the tour and shopping, we only got an hour to shop which was not long enough for me.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the taste of the local food on Grand Turk for lunch!

Thanks for posting your first review here.  I enjoyed reading about your interesting cruise. The hot tubs are usually crowded, less so early in the morning or in the evening.
