Great Cruise

Sail Date: March 22, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

A very good cruise. The ship is very clean and offers very good service. The food is good, with the exception of the buffet. It could use some help. Port of Miami is the pits. Very slow getting people on and off the ship.

Pros: Ports of Call

Cons: Getting on and off the ship

Recommends Carnival Valor? Yes!

Food and Dining
The dinning room can't be beat. The food is very good quality and the service is outstanding
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Everyone was great except our room steward. He missed cleaning the room twice. We got information left in our room late. He was in need of some improvment
Ship Quality
George Town, Grand Cayman
Do not miss the Turtle Farm and Stingray City. A must tour. Tender ride to port is very short.
Belize City, Belize
The port area is small and not very clean. You can not leave the port except on a tour and be safe. Very long tender ride to port
Cozumel, Mexico
Good list of things to do. Beaches are good and snorkrling is very good. Safe area to be to go shopping, site seeing, ect.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
They have done an excellent job of rebuilding. Great port. Easiest port to visit Mayan ruins
