Very fun and relaxing get away! Nassau is always great, and Half Moon Cay is gorgeous! Lots to do on the Sunshine. It is a wonderful ship!

Nice cruise, we just wanted a quick get away as we've been to all these ports before. Our aim was to relax.

If Carnival is trying to save money by cutting food quality, they are going about it the wrong way. I saw more food thrown on this cruise then I ever have. It was nasty. I don’t ever plan on cruising with Carnival again and there were many more on this cruise that felt the same way.

Will be cruising again soon. So glad we had 10 days of relaxation and warm weather in January! Great!

With it being our first cruise it was new and exciting. We were bummed that a lot of the outdoor activities were closed the majority of the time and that we didn’t get to port in Nassau. The overall vibe of the shop was enjoyable and energetic. Leon was fun. The staff were some of the hardest working people I have seen.

Very dissapointed with the service and staff on this ship. Besides Samuel and Leon, I would be ok with never sailing on this ship again

We were pleasantly surprised as this was our first trip out of Port Charleston. We will definitely scheduled another one this year.

Exceeded all expectations. Only wished we learned of this cruise out of Charleston earlier as we live just 3 hours away. Now after 2024 it won't be an option as we hear Carnival's contract is not being renewed, :-(

It was one of the best experience we have had on Carnival.

This was my very first cruise and most definitely will be MY LAST! This experience was HORRIBLE. The ship is OLD & OUTDATED! The food was HORRIBLE & all began to TASTE & SMELL the same. The selection was even piss poor in both the formal dining area & also the Lido Marketplace. The cabins & water sources smelled like RECYCLED URINE & FECES! I didn't pay for the drink package but wish I did after seeing ROACHES around the drink station on the Lido Deck. I took pictures & recorded footage to show to guest services. While in the candy shop, a kid was observed eating w/ his mouth on the scoop that we were expected to use for the $1M candy. With over 3k guests on board, we were all expected to share 1 small pool. And pleaseeeee DON'T get thirsty bc the one bottle of water that's on your room cost $5 and the complimentary water taste like the and water you bathe in. I had to purchase a $16 cup from the gift shop just get something to drink. Oh and before I go pleaseeee let me share that one at arrived at the Port of Call (Princess Cays) I was expecting to interact with the locals and partake in their culture. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED to find that out was just an extension of the boat just ON LAND. The same ppl, serving the same food, now conducting entertainment OFF THE SHIP. It was as if Carnival had rented the island and the ppl came with it. It was HORRIBLE and a complete waste of my time. I could go on and on. I just hope this review finds someone the way I wish it had found me before wasting so much time and money on a birthday that I can't get back. This was definitely NOT A HAPPY BIRTHDAY for me!

Overall Carnival is your budget /Wal-mart of the high seas. And it's not really cheap. Spend the extra $500 and go on a better ship. AND KNOW If you don't buy direct from Carnival and do go thru i.e. you will be treated like you are not a Carnival customers/cruiser.

Negatives: super crowded, very rough seas (half of our group was physically sick), unless you eat in a specialty dining room the food was terrible. Long lines. Hot tubs with 10+ people at all times. Tiny pool. Positives: Lots of activities for families; the putt putt, games, water slides were awesome. The rock show and comedian were great.

This was a great family vacation. We have another booked in October.

We took our family of 7. We had two rooms. The kids found friends. We all enjoyed ourselves. Great food and lots of fun. Makes us want to go again :-)

Very unhappy with this Carnival Cruise. Too many children. Very unorganized at ports. Ports had rocks so swimming was impossible. I will not go a Carnival Cruise again. We choose the cruise because of the Charleston Port. Fairly close to where we live. Driving distance. This was a mistake.

Wonderful cruise wanted to stay on another 3 days if we could go back to grand turk or amber cove LOL..

This was 2 nd time on Sunshine this year. Not as good as back in the Spring. Very disappointing trying to get to Half Moon from ship. Only had 2 tender boats. Ended up with only 3 hours on the island Will consider making sure ports I choose in the future have actual docks yo not deal with this

Overall good cruise for the money spent. Will do another soon.

I wouldn't go on Carnival Sunshine a second time. We had some nice moments but the embarkation and disembarkation process is the worst I have ever experienced.
