Terrible!!! I was told that I could park next to the ship terminal so I trusted it would be fine, WRONG! The parking and drop off was bad. I expect a smooth drop off but was in a delay of cars. I was sent away from a full parking structure and told to go to the overflow parking, over a mile away. I was not given a map, just go to the aquarium, across the bridge. I was super stressed that I would not get on the ship. This was a terrible way to begin my family trip! The aquarium parking lot was full, attendants there were not sure to send me and Carnival did not tell me where to park so I went to a city parking structure a few blocks away. Build more parking Carnival or I will never cruise from Long Beach or Carnival! I will definitely be letting people online know about this port and how they need to AVOID I when considering cruising.

When I was there in May they were doing a lot of construction there and I pretty sure that’s the reason. It was a nightmare trying to get out when we came back but I don’t stress about that stuff. I think it will be better once all the construction is done.

That's why we stay at the Holiday Inn on Atlantic, it has a park and cruise rate. They keep the car and drop you off and pick you up after.

This is something I worry about for our up coming cruise....what do we do if the garage is full

Here's the ptoblem with the parking. Carnival has ships in port Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It filled up on Friday when the Inspiration was in port, the day before you got there. You are right. Something needs to be done.

Maybe next time take a taxi to the port you are paying too much to park for the length of your trip anyway

We have parked there over 30 times and never once an issue

I was there last weekend not a problem at all and that was my fourth time there

I've never heard about or read such issues with parking. I'm sorry this happened to u.

Sorry you had such a horrible experience. We left out of Long Beach in May a day after the splendor on the Imagination and had no trouble with parking.

I have been to that port several times and not once ever had any issues with parking or anything else for that matter love carnival

Ummm Carnival or any cruise line for that matter cannot guarantee a spot right next to the ship. Just like they can’t tell you which flight to take. Your complaint is crazy. Research next time.
