We went with a group of 20. 16 of them had never been on a cruise or in Mexico. The Carnival Staff helped me in every and any way possible to make sure my group was well taken care of which made this trip for them excellent. Any issue we had was attended to at once. They could not have done more for us.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The process has been made much easier and quick to get on board with the new expansion of the Long Beach Terminal.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I would give it an excellent rating but it seems like the food at the dining room was just not quite up to par. It seemed to us that the food on the Miracle was much better.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There is sooooo much to do you cannot possibly do it all. So if you want to stay busy and have fun you have no reason not to.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
They had a band in the atrium right by Guest Services every night called "The J Mills Collective" . We spent every evening on board listening and dancing to that band . That Band can play anything ...
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All of the Staff were very pleasant and accommodating to your every need. Our room steward "Jamal" always had our room well taken care of and our ice bucket full.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ships design reminds me of an older las vegas casino. It is a bit dated and corny. But clean and well taken care of .
Cabin / Stateroom

We are glad we upgraded to the Ocean Suite. The best part of having this room was the fact it has a separate dressing area and the bathroom is separated as well. This helps because when someone is asleep you just close the door to the dressing area and you wont disturb the person sleeping .. and as an added plus we were able to open up the balconies with the adjacent rooms so we could all be out there together on the balconies...
Ship tip
if you want to decorate your room and door make sure to use magnets or magnetic tape. Also get a magnetic dry erase board for your door so you can let anyone who goes with you where you are. And it is worth getting the Carnival APP with the wi fi plan so you can communicate with each other.
I have been traveling to Cabo for over 40 years. When you exit the ships dock get past the gauntlet of hawkers and shops and restaurants and go into town. You will get much better deals on food , drinks, merchandise.
We booked a private van for our group of 17. The guy who took us for our tour was excellent and accommodating to OUR needs. We even ended up at the same hotel and beach the Ships tours take you to and it only cost us $25 per person plus tip. So WAY cheaper than the ships tour.
The only issue I have with this is that it is only ONE DAY. We love PV and can never spend enough time there. Make sure you go to OLD VALLARTA . If you want to just enjoy the day lounging by the beach and being pampered grab a cab to the EMBARCADOR hotel and the restaurant they have there called "SI Senor" right on the beach with lounge chairs and umbrellas ... it doesnt get any better .. and the Malecon is super close ... its a great location.
