We had an amazing vacation and will definitely visit the Mexican Riviera again in the future. The Splendor is a great ship and I hope to sail on her again before she leaves for Australia.

Service and Staff

Our waitstaff in the MDR was amazing. Our head waiter Marian promptly greeted us by name as soon as we entered. He was always prompt in taking our orders and making sure we like our food. We were all taken care of in the dining room. He even brought out a small cake and sang happy birthday to my son. The team waiter Igede was very friendly and also made sure we were well taken care of.
Our room steward, Pasek, was always close by to make sure we had everything we needed. He did a great job servicing our room daily while we were at dinner.
Ship Quality

The ship was very well taken care of. Crew members were out and about cleaning the ship all day.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room is laid out well with ample space. There are 2 lower and 2 upper beds plus a desk and chair. The refrigerator worked well in keeping our drinks cold. It’s located in the front of the ship in an area that doesn’t get a lot of traffic so it was nice and quiet. My only complaint would be that there was a strong smell of diesel fuel upon embarkation. It went away over time that evening but would come back at other times during the trip.
Mazatlan isn’t one of my favorite ports. We did a Salsa and Salsa excursion which was very fun. The beach was so so. We passed through some very rough looking areas on the trip from the port to the excursion resort. Everyone drove crazy too. I probably won’t get off the ship next time.
Puerto Vallarta is absolutely amazing. We booked the Las Caletas excursion. Upon getting off the ship, we were taken by boat on a 40 minute trip to the beach hideaway. It was like a tropical paradise. The sand and water were beautiful. We were fed lunch upon arrival. Activities included kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, zip lining, etc.
I've sailed Slpendor before went to Cozumel Belize Mahogany Bay and Grand Cayman. Out of the four Mahogany Bay was one of my favorites because of the chairlift what a view and Grand Cayman was cool cuz I got to swim with stingrays. The staff on Carnival Splendor went above and beyond being helpful and friendly would definitely sail on it again
