Review summary

We always pushed an Alaskan cruise off saying "we will do it when we're older." Now we wish would've went years ago! The good news is we've booked a 9 day one for September 2026!!

Embarkation

Super easy! We didn't have any long lines to wait in. Rooms were available before 1:30 and all our luggage was already there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The sea day brunch didn't impress, but otherwise, the food was pretty good. Chopsticks had a line each day during lunch because it was yummy.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Only made it to a few shows but we enjoyed them. I was pulled onstage to hula hoop so that was hilarious! Need some practice! Haha

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I rarely find staff or service issues on Carnival ships. Just be kind, they all work so hard!

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We love being toward the back of the ship. The room was clean and exactly what we expect.

Ship tip

Most ships we have sailed on previously were much larger. Little did we realize how much we love the smaller ship! Less people mean less lines! Just remember it also means fewer amenities such as dining options.

Ports of call

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

The excursion is an absolute MUST!! I promise the views are worth every penny!

Juneau, Alaska

Whale watching and lighthouse tour. Please don't go into this thinking you'll get up close and personal with the whales. The boats don't get too close because the whales don't like it. But, it's still majestic when you see them.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We went to the lumberjack show but no excursion!

Victoria, British Columbia

We bought the shuttle pass through Carnival and we were first to get off the ship. Sadly it's was 3 hours...at 8:30pm. I'm looking forward to going back and seeing it during the day.

Seattle, Washington

4 out of 5
This was our first time visiting Seattle. We could have spent a few more days sightseeing!

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did the train, sled dogs and gold panning while in Skagway. Klondike Mike was phenomenal! I got to pet puppies bad found $38 in gold.
