Review summary

This might have been a once in a lifetime experience for us, and we could not be happier with how we did it! RCI gave us a better rate than booking direct. Excursions were actually better priced booked through Carnival. We loved the ship, the cruise, the ports, the excursions. Everyday since we wake up wishing we were back on board!

Embarkation

It was so easy. We were on the ship in about 10 minutes from the shuttle.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the dining room, lido deck, coffee shop. All were equally awesome. The staff in the dining room was fantastic and went out of their way to make my 7 year old feel special. He looked forward to seeing them everyday!

Onboard Activities

My son used the pools, mini golf. We did not use the waterslide (too chilly!). My husband and I used the hot tubs. The gym one was the nicest. Kinda wish the others were a tad warmer.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw comedy, 80s show, and other live music. The guitar guy (Paul) was awesome. Show was good but only singing due to rocky conditions. Very much enjoyed the comedy.

Children's Programs

This was our favorite part! My kid LOVED it. He asked to go daily. They did a lot of fun activities. He felt included immediately. Coverage till 10pm really gave us some space and adult time to enjoy activities and the Serenity Spa area.

Service and Staff

I'd give more stars if I could! These folks are all great. They are friendly, accommodating, work crazy hard. We LOVED our Stewart!!

Ship Quality

Definitely clean. A few areas that seemed to leak in the rain. Staff was on top of everything. Some areas probably a bit dated but it didn't bother us in the least.

Cabin / Stateroom

Fantastic! We were worried it would be small with our 7 year old but we had plenty of space! We loved the balcony. Our Steward was just fantastic. He brought extra blankets, pillows, pillow toppers, extra towel animals for our son. He went above and beyond. So happy and friendly.

We explored on our own and had an amazing time!

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

YES. This was the MOST AMAZING EXCURSION! It made my entire trip.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Loved it. We did an excursion through Skagway Tours. Our guide, Noah, was just fantastic. It was just 2 families so super personable. Love the sled dogs, suspension bridge, and the amazing views. Just WOW. We were excited to get to visit the Yukon, too!

Juneau, Alaska

Yes, we rented the private 2 door jeep. It was nice to be "free" to do our own thing! We did follow the GPS. If we had more time, we would have explored even more. But we also got to shop after and that was fun.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Lumberjack Show! We weren't in the port long, and this was perfect. My 7 year old loved it. Easy, fun, entertaining.

We didn't get off the ship here. We arrived around 8:30pm and it was pouring. We would have explored if things were right off the ship but it required a bus ride and the person at the desk was honest in telling us that shops close at 9:30 so it would be a rush to really do very much. Given the weather, we just stayed on board.

Disembarkation

Honestly, it was so easy I wasn't sure we were doing it correctly! We used the Port Valet and our bags were checked all the way through to our final destination.
