Review summary

Overall, as first time cruisers, it was a great experience for us and the kids. It was a time well-spent and a memory to cherish. We never expected to have a lot of take aways in this cruise and the most important is about our health so we will be able to enjoy more cruises and trips with the kids and family. I am super grateful for this opportunity!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was our first time cruise so everything was new to us but despite of that embarkation was really smooth. We did not have a hard time finding our way to our room. We were checked by our stateroom attendant, Oka and Michael and their team how we are doing and if we need anything. That was a very nice and warm welcome!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Despite it very crowded, it was well organized and smooth. The way we were scheduled when to dine was very effective so the crowd is controlled. I am impressed how quick the servers move to make sure nothing is delayed and we are always informed when the food is coming. How the staff accommodate us was superb. A shout out to Nisha, Susheel, Laldin, Erwin, Wendy, James (I think was his name. He's a Filipino, serving at the back of the Empire Room. Our table # that time was 165 for breakfast.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
My kids enjoyed the water slides and the pool. My husband and I enjoyed the fitness center. Mikael (Mickey) was a super great resource to know our body composition and how to improve our health. This is one of the most valuable thing we got from the cruise.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
My family enjoyed the comedy show, the informative shows and the Bingo game. It would have been better if I won. lol!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My kids did not participate in any of the activities as they wanted to be with us but I thought the activities were made to make it fun for them.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Shout out to Nisha, Laldin, Susheel, Erwin, James (as mentioned above), Wendy for superb dining service. Shout out to Oka and Michael and the team for an extra special service in tidying our room. Great service by Mickey, Dr. Toki, Jinky, Jane the Thai lady at the spa. Special mention to Hynell and Katherine as well.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We are impressed by the design of the ship and a big thanks to all the crews that made our trip so memorable! My kids already missed it and they wanted to be back soon!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
very comfortable bed and soft pillows, nice and clean room and bathroom. The kids enjoyed they cozy bunk beds. Probably too small for 4 people especially if kids are bigger.

Ship tip

try to book a room in mid ship if one of your company has bad motion sickness. Our first time to cruise and this is the one important lesson I learned.

Excursion was great. Did city tour and White Summit Pass. We could have taken the train though but it we did not catch the last trip. Great to know about the history of the Klondike Rush.

Very short time to go around Ketchikan but has interesting history. Saw lots of bald eagles too.
