Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was so smooth out of the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal. Wish all of the ports were like this!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone that we were in contact with on this sailing was absolutely amazing! All of the staff were so pleasant and fun to deal with.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
As of all of the Spirit Class are, they are laid out so easy to get around. And the staff was always out cleaning and making sure the ship was presentable. Yes this ship might show some age since she is over 20 years old, but she's overall in great shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved our balcony! We had an aft extended balcony and saw some amazing views of the coast of Alaska and Canada the whole trip. And the room itself was spacious and comfortable.

Ship tip

there is a coffee bar in the aft of deck 9 on the Serenity deck (if you don't want to wait in line down on deck 2)

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

We spent the day before the cruise in Seattle to check it out. We checked out the Space Needle, Pike Place and did the Underground City Tour and had a great time with all of it! There is unfortunately an issue with homeless people within the town itself, but they are harmless.

Cruise Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

5 out of 5
We did the shore excursion of taking a smaller ship to check out the Sawyer glacier. It was a little pricey but so worth it!! It was a rainy/sleety type of day (I guess we got the Alaskan experience.lol) but that didnt stop us from experiencing the beauty of the glacier, waterfalls & wildlife in this area. A must do!!

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We absolutely loved Skagway! Such a cute small town with the old western feel to it. We did an excursion through the ship that took us to Alaska 360 to experience gold panning and got to see some adorable Husky puppies and got to learn about the Iditarod race and what the dogs and racers endure with the race. After that we got to ride on the White Pass Railway to the Summit. The ride was absolutely breathtaking! Then we grabbed a brew from The Skagway Brewing Company (with excellent food also!) before heading back to the ship.

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
Juneau we did a private whale watching excursion that just involved our group. If you have a group of 10+, this was a nice option to do. We got to see 11 different whales with some with their young (so cute!). Then we got to see the beauty of Mendenhall Glacier from a scenic overlook that looked like a postcard. And of course we got to have the famous duck fart shot at the Red Dog Saloon (they also have great food!).

Ketchikan, Alaska

In this port we did an excursion through the ship called the Bering Sea Fisherman's Tour. This hands down was probably the best excursion we took this cruise! The boat we went on was on the show Deadliest Catch (Aleutian Ballad) for one season, but due to a rogue wave damaging the ship, it was decommissioned and turned into a tour boat. All of the people demonstrating how they throw pots and fish are true fisherman from the Bering Sea. Along with that they took us out to an island where there had to be over 50 bald eagles and they were feeding fish to them. Talk about absolutely amazing!! We even got to hold some crab and prawn, and got to feel a king crab! The funny part was that one of the fisherman originally lived about 30 miles from where we are from! Talk about a small world! If you are into seeing wildlife and want to learn about the life of a Bering Sea Fisherman, you have to do this excursion!

Victoria, British Columbia

We only had 4 hours in this port, so we decided to walk around the town. What a beautiful area! Cute little shops to check out and seeing the Parliament building at night was gorgeous.

Disembarkation
