Trip of a Lifetime by MerisueB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The ship was beautiful, luxurious, and clean. All the staff were accomodating, friendly and professional. They were definitely there to see to the guests every need. There was first class dining and entertainment each night. The shore excursions were another wonderful extension of the cruise ship, entertaining and pampering. I will definitely be cruising with Carnival again!

It was just a perfect cruise. From the weather, to the ship, to the people and the crew. Loved being at the back of the ship and really enjoyed the entertainment.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

We had been on this cruise before. I want to say we had just as a good a time as we did the first time if not better. Our friends who went went with us had a GREAT time as well. They were impressed with the cruise. We also notice how quickly and with ease we were able to get off the ship. Thanks

When can we go again? by SandyW3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

We were a little daunted by the sheer size of the ship being as it was our first time cruising but by Tuesday we were very comfortable in our "New Home" . Had a good idea where everything was and what was expected of us; absolutely nothing but have a good time. The gym was my husbands dream including the steam room. We were a little worried about going to the main dining room as we were not sure how "dressy" it would be. It was wonderful and everyone made us feel very comfortable. The food was above and beyond what we had expected. Very delectable!!! And the service was wonderful. Our waiters and the maitre-de were very funny and welcoming asking us were we had been all week (we didn't go there until Wed). The Mermaid Grill had the most efficient system for having a lot of people there without having long lines. The only thing that could have been done different would be more than one "Dessert Area". My husband would have been very happy to have Chocolate Chip Cookie stations set up everywhere on the ship. Our trip was made very enjoyable by a variety of people and events, but \the best part was just having time to ourselves.

Good experience by RyanC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The ship was very nice. Some of the things we were dissapointed about was the smoking allowed on board and the entertainment on board all seemed to be the same stuff an the shore excursions were very expensive and the one we did that was really dissapointing was the beach horseback riding- very boring and unexciting. The food was really good, opposite of what a lot of reviewers mentioned, the room was bigger then expected, we got a blacony room on the fifth floor. The staff was all very nice and helpful. The ship gift shop was very dissapointing and we found ourselves needing a lot of things when we got to some of the ports.

Mexican Riviera - Rest and Rejuvenation by SheaV

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The ship was clean, well-decorated, and efficiently managed. The food was diverse. Plenty to do on board, and also plenty of opportunity to rest and relax. Very smooth sailing. The artwork available at auction was fantastic.

My husband and I were more than pleased with the Pride, we had a wonderful stateroom, enjoyed great food, had perfect weather and would love to live long enough to do it over again (we're 82 and 77 years of age).

It was great! by Traveler5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The ship was beautiful, the staff was awesome. It was a bit chilly with the air conditioning. When you are in nice weather, you would like to wear summer clothes aboard ship, however, it was too cold especially in the Taj Mahal to not have a zippy or sweatshirt/sweater on all the time. Our head waiter and assistant waiter, Picholo and Henry, really made our evenings fun. Our room steward was excellent. Our room was always clean and we loved our towel animals very much. The photos were much too expensive, however. We would have purchased more had they been about half the prices.

A "Good" Cruise by Tonya11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

This cruise was quite enjoyable expect for when it came to the most important thing...the food. Both me and my wife were quite disappointed when it came to the quality of food served on this cruise.

Good cruise overall by Ronm11

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

The Carnival Pride is a very clean and well run ship. I found the decor to be a bit dated but they obviously put much effort into design and layout. Despite carrying a full passenger load there are numerous areas where few people are present. Staff are either friendly or a bit passive; we experience no rudness from anyone and several people go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

My first and certainly not my last by LucyS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

Everyone was very friendly, waiters, room service, ship directors etc. I loved all the food choices and rooms being cleaned twice a day. It was more than I could have hoped for. I especially enjoyed being in the Carnival Legends Show. It was alot of fun for me and my employees (12) to be exact...OUr treat. Did not really like Puerto Vallarta or Mazatlan, very commercial and smelly areas...Dirty water...not very good beaches within walkin distance...After being on a ship for a few days ...was looking for beach time...that was disappointing.

Carnival Pride by Patricia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

Decor is terrible and makes your eyes hurt. If you have small children, you will have to explain all the naked people. Our 15 year old son was jokingly giving directions like "turn left at the nipple".

a good cruise by KevinR6

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Mexico

We had a good time. The wait staff in the restaurant was excellent. Some of the entertainment was all right. I wish we knew more about the ports in advance, maps ect... Not just were the cruise line wants us to spend our money. The entire ship is covered with Roman art, huge murals with naked bodies. We would have liked more family oriented entertainment.

Overall we were not impressed. If you are young and a partier or older and just want to play cards all day then this is the trip for you...otherwise???
