Carnival Pride

Sail Date: October 19, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Decor is terrible and makes your eyes hurt. If you have small children, you will have to explain all the naked people. Our 15 year old son was jokingly giving directions like "turn left at the nipple".

Pros: Comfortable beds, quiet stateroom, close proximity to dining room

Cons: food, decor of ship, friendliness of staff

Recommends Carnival Pride? No.

Ship Quality
Decor is gaudy and makes no sense. Naked statue of David is center of ship. Wallpaper with naked cherubs and people everywhere coupled with neon, raccoco and whatever else.
Food and Dining
Small portions, low diversity. Service adequate but not as good as Royal Carribean.
Cabin / Stateroom
Good size, decor adequate. Very comfortable. Hairdryer in drawer attached to very short cord. Good location
Service and Staff
Mostly phillipino crew. Quiet and respectful, not friendly. No connection between waiter and table. Seemed like "just a job".
Entertainment
Comedians great, first show enjoyable. Magician weak.
Children's Programs
15 year old son really enjoyed Club 02.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Taxi $20.00 to Chileno Beach for snorkeling. Cleanest port of the trip.
Don't Miss: snorkeling
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Los Veranos Zip Line - book online before cruise and save 50% off cruise price.
Don't Miss: Above
Mazatlan, Mexico
Go to Royal Sierra Hotel in the Gold Zone. $12.00 by taxi. Spend day by pool in lounge chairs. Boogy boards $12.00, parasailing $35.00, jet skis etc. Pool has wonderful waterfalls and a great slide for kids.
