We were a little daunted by the sheer size of the ship being as it was our first time cruising
but by Tuesday we were very comfortable in our "New Home" . Had a good idea where
everything was and what was expected of us; absolutely nothing but have a good time.
The gym was my husbands dream including the steam room. We were a little worried
about going to the main dining room as we were not sure how "dressy" it would be.
It was wonderful and everyone made us feel very comfortable. The food was above
and beyond what we had expected. Very delectable!!! And the service was wonderful.
Our waiters and the maitre-de were very funny and welcoming asking us were we had
been all week (we didn't go there until Wed). The Mermaid Grill had the most efficient
system for having a lot of people there without having long lines. The only thing that
could have been done different would be more than one "Dessert Area". My husband
would have been very happy to have Chocolate Chip Cookie stations set up everywhere
on the ship. Our trip was made very enjoyable by a variety of people and events, but
\the best part was just having time to ourselves.

When the ships "Shopaholic" Mark gave a presentation about ports of call and shore excursions, he mainly focused on the diamond and jewel dealers for the shopping expeditions. We were mainly interested in memorabalia to take home to the grandkids and really didn't care about shopping for jewelry.

we did not do any excursions here and really should have. we mainly stayed within range of the ship and did our t-shirt shopping right at the pier. such a beautiful city and we did miss out on a lot of fun activities because we were unsure of the excursions.

Just wish that Cabo was a longer stop. Not enough time there to really explore all that we wanted to do.

Pros: the no pressure just enjoy yourself attitude

Cons: not knowing what to do at the ports of call

Recommends Carnival Pride? Yes!
