Carnival pride by ritchie8

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise. After years of resisting because I was afraid I would be seasick, my husband said one day I booked a cruise. Oh no . After a lot of investigating the many websites and reviews we embarked on 6/18/17 from Baltimore. We were on the ship within an hour of arriving. We had a wonderful time no see sickness. Food was great. Excursion were a blast did buggy drive in Grand Turk. Snorkeling in Freeport was canceled due to high winds but we were at deadmans reef and were able to take advantage of a little snorkel ing from shore, and received a refund. I would recommend this cruise, and will cruise again God willing. Debarking not so much. After a delay arriving  upon our return due to a medical emergency on board on Saturday early morning we arrived in Baltimore around noon. Off the ship by 2:30. We had to stand in line a long time.

Pride by bkdelman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

i traveled wits Carnival 25 years ago it was not a good experience.  This recent cruise won me back to Carnival. The ship was clean staff was friendly and very professional.  Everything was awesome.  Will sail wits you again.

Only downfall this cruise arrived 2 hours late to port through no fault of Carnival.  I just want make sure the people involved are held accountable for their actions. Too many people were effected by their actions.  Justice needs to be done

thanks for a great vacation

Excellent trip by courpas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I thought very highly of the service provided by the dinner staff especially Luis and Boris.

The dinner menu could be improved. The prime rib was cold and tasteless the baked potato was consistently hard. Short of the above food items I would recommend this cruise.

We cruised the week of... by jdalessandro

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

We cruised the week of June 11. My family has cruised on the Carnival Pride in the past and have always had a great time. This cruise was definitely understaffed. The bars rarely had 2 bartenders working. The lido deck had 1 person taking drink orders and the ship ran out of Corona beer on Wednesday and mint for mojitos by Friday. This cruise was at full occupancy. Hoping that Carnival will pay attention to this ship a little better.

Pride Jun 11 - 18 by DMunker

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I loved the balcony and just watching the water, sunrise and sunset. I heard one of the engines weren't working right and the sway of the ship got me on the second day at sea. The MDR 3rd floor in the back right, table for two felt like we were sitting on the engines. Horrible vibrations. Would like one pool you could walk into.

Incredible vacation by JennaBallard

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cruise was amazing. Though the rooms on the inside of the ship were small, everything else was great. The staff and the service was very good. The food was good also, and of course the islands were breathtaking. I would definitely go on another cruise in the future.

Carnival Pride -not worth the money paid by ch4avon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Carnival Pride is a smaller ship with about 2000 passengers. This was our 7th cruise and our 2nd Carnival cruise. Unfortunately we have been spoiled by the higher quality of Royal Carribean and Celebrity cruise lines and our expectations were too high for the Pride. The first thing I noticed was the lack of antibacterial hand cleaning entering any of the dining areas. It was available on a wall but was definitely not enforced by any staff. The other cruise lines you cannot avoid them even if you tried. 2. Cleanliness of the hand rails and elevator buttons was never seen. 3. As for the food, it was OK. I was shocked that on elegant night the tshirts, jeans and baseball caps on people dining in the Normandy dining room. We were the rare people who dressed in a suit and formal dress. And that  we were expected to pay extra for surf and turf or just a lobster $20 each was shocking! The other cruise lines include these at no charge and unlimited portions can be ordered. What a disappointment.

4. That and the fact that your drink package did not include the daily specialty drink in the complementary monkey head, etc or Half Moon Cay.

5. As for  the room, it was small and even smaller balcony which was suppose to be cleaned 9-noon one day then changed to the next and pretty sure never was cleaned. We had to be out of the room though!

6. The holding of chairs with towels, etc was abundant all week. not enough seats or trash cans on the deck.

7. Kids unattending all night at the pool especially during movie night. Loud and running all over and some even falling. Very dangerous!

8. Our safe broke and was never attended to the rest of the week.

9. David steakhouse amazing service and fabulous food. Finely got my lobster and filet there which was amazing.

10. Disembarkment was soooooslow

Cruising stole our Hearts!!! by TheRyens

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It is hard to pick a favorite part about the cruise, we loved everything about it. There were so many activities on board that we were never bored. We loved having the Carnival Hub App, it was so great having access to on the on board fun right at our fingertips. All of the ports were amazing and the excursion was awesome. All the staff were friendly and were willing to help your needs any way that they could. They definitely treated you like family which made you feel apart of the whole cruise. Our only suggestion for the Carnival Pride would be that there would be no smoking up by the Apollo Pool. Many people walk by there and swimming and all you smell is cigarette smoke and it can get pretty strong there. We never swam at the Apollo Pool but only swam by the Dive In Pool due to the smoking going on there. If they could eliminate this, I'm sure many people would appreciate it. Other than that we have no complaints. We are definitely planning another Cruise in the future.

Absolutely beautiful ship! This was... by nclaar

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Absolutely beautiful ship! This was our first cruise ever. We went with our 2 children ages 12 and 4. The best part of the cruise was the food. I bet I gained 5 lbs in one week Lol The kids had a blast, both really enjoyed the kids club activities. My 4 year old is sometimes hard to please so I was pleasantly surprised when she kept asking to go back! There is always something going on the ship for all ages, always something to eat or a show to watch. We enjoyed being waited on hand and foot! We had excellent care of our room thanks to Muhammad! He was super personable, remembered our names from Day 1. All the crew was very enthusiastic and made sure everyone had a good time! Grand Turk island was beautiful, Half Moon Cay was absolutely amazing, Freeport was a little disappointing. At Freeport we shopped for souvenirs for the few hours we were there and didn't even go to the beach. It wasn't a real disappointment because we had enough sun from the previous days. This was our first ever cruise, but certainly won't be our last. Can't wait to get back on the Pride next year!!

An overall amazing experience by Salvy15

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Not a minute went by where they didn't have something fun or exciting going on somewhere on the ship. At first it was a little confusing but after the first day you really got a hang of where everything was on the ship. The food was amazing and yeah, there was A LOT of it, which is great! The only thing I didn't particularly enjoy is paying $30 for wifi and only have it work half the time. Other than that everything else was outstanding and I would definitely recommend going on a cruise with the carnival pride cause I myself want to go on another as soon as I can.

Very pleased and enjoyable! by kaygrubb4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

As this being my very first cruise, overall it was a very enjoyable experience. There was always different activities everyday for all ages, the room service and service in general were very respectful and always helped us with whatever was needed. The food was phenomenal and I appreciate the head chef making almost 15,000 meals a day to provide us never ending food. So thank you for those extra pounds! I would definitely go on a cruise again with Carnival Pride!

another great Carnival Cruise! by isign101

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My 4th Carnival cruise, our family's second. We had a GREAT time!! Our room steward, Jessica, was COURTEOUS, EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, and so VERY WELCOMING!!!! We slept late almost every day, and she still made it to our room even though it was so late in the morning. Jessica and her team were ALWAYS smiling and so very friendly every time we saw them. Jessica and her team worked hard to make sure our needs were met. Well done Jessica, we appreciate you and the amazing work you do!!!!

Our dinner crew, Joebert, Teguh, and Orlando were FUN, ENTERTAINING, and COURTEOUS every single night!!!! They worked hard at making dinner fun and relaxing! Their service was exceptional and the food was perfect every night. Well done, we appreciate their hard work!!!!!

Saffy, our Cruise director was ENTERTAINING, ENGAGING, and ENTHUSIASTIC, which kept the fun going!!! We appreciate her hard work to keep the atmosphere fun and enjoyable!!!

While I didn't get the  names of any other crew on the ship, they all did amazing, and I wish I would have made a note of more of their names. From the towel stand by the pool, to the staff at Lido deck, to the bar tenders, every time I saw a crew member they were friendly and polite. I appreciate each and every one!!

The only thing I would change would be the smoking areas on the boat. The only kid-friendly hot tub was at the pool where smoking was allowed. Which meant that any time we wanted to enjoy the hot tub, we had to be surrounded by second hand smoke. If that smoking area stays as it is, I will not choose to sail on the Pride again. I will choose to sail on a boat that doesn't have a smoking section by the only hot tub my daughter can enjoy.

Carnival Pride by CruiseQueenNH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

It's not the best cruise I've been on but it's not my worst. I probably wouldn't cruise this ship again, or maybe even this line, unless the company makes some major changes.

First cruise ever ! by nsn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The best was dinner time. The wait staff was the best part . They were EXCELLENT ! I also enjoyed the Comedy shows . I would recommend having the comedy shows in the bigger venue for there  was only standing room during the  shows but the comedies was very funny !!! I would of liked to have more time on the islands . By the time you got off did a activity there was much time left for anything else  . But all in all  I would recommend to friends and family . Happy

First Time Cruiser by Tina3692

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

For my first cruise, I was underwhelmed with the accommodations and availability of public restrooms.  Having to ask several people (staff) where a rest room is located, and they were not aware - VERY FRUSTRATING!

The food, waitstaff, Events were spectacular!

Disembarkation time needs to be improved.

Cabins needs refurbishing.

Next time we'll try another cruise line.

Great cruise by Texasmike523

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Food, entertainment, staff and crew great. Cabins could use some upgrades such as electrical outlets and/or charging stations. One receptacle is a little ridiculous in this day and age.

our cruise to east carebeans by taruha

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

food and the Normandi restaurant treatment, mainly Mr.Frank gave us an excellant service all thriugh week.

cabin Stewart Mr.Edwin also gave us an excellent service which was invaluable.

Mr.Dev from lido kitchen provided us on his own initiative the indian food which was really nice.

however, one point to mention here that the anouncements from the cruise director were irritating and annoying at times.

Review of carnival pride by dakotax66

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Everything about the cruise was great, the food was amazing, each crew member had a smile, and the entertainment was great. Only thing I would change is maybe have the adult pool open later and some entertainment later.
