Review summary
The Carnival Pride is a smaller ship with about 2000 passengers. This was our 7th cruise and our 2nd Carnival cruise. Unfortunately we have been spoiled by the higher quality of Royal Carribean and Celebrity cruise lines and our expectations were too high for the Pride. The first thing I noticed was the lack of antibacterial hand cleaning entering any of the dining areas. It was available on a wall but was definitely not enforced by any staff. The other cruise lines you cannot avoid them even if you tried. 2. Cleanliness of the hand rails and elevator buttons was never seen. 3. As for the food, it was OK. I was shocked that on elegant night the tshirts, jeans and baseball caps on people dining in the Normandy dining room. We were the rare people who dressed in a suit and formal dress. And that we were expected to pay extra for surf and turf or just a lobster $20 each was shocking! The other cruise lines include these at no charge and unlimited portions can be ordered. What a disappointment.
4. That and the fact that your drink package did not include the daily specialty drink in the complementary monkey head, etc or Half Moon Cay.
5. As for the room, it was small and even smaller balcony which was suppose to be cleaned 9-noon one day then changed to the next and pretty sure never was cleaned. We had to be out of the room though!
6. The holding of chairs with towels, etc was abundant all week. not enough seats or trash cans on the deck.
7. Kids unattending all night at the pool especially during movie night. Loud and running all over and some even falling. Very dangerous!
8. Our safe broke and was never attended to the rest of the week.
9. David steakhouse amazing service and fabulous food. Finely got my lobster and filet there which was amazing.
10. Disembarkment was soooooslow
