A Great Vacation by Chrissie1949

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Had a very nice time. Have been on this cruise before and did shore excursions last time. Never been to Grand Turk but due to hurricane it was closed. Really enjoyed Half Moon Cay.

A very relaxing vacation, no stress coming or going from Baltimore. A smaller ship with pleanty to do if that is what you want to do. by lefty001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

A very enjoyable cruise would leave out of Baltimore again. The options for food and drink offered should please everyone. If a relaxing vacation is what you are looking for a cruise will work providing you don't get sea sick.

Cruising on the Pride was... by braynduh

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Cruising on the Pride was a fun experience as a first time cruiser! I feel like after reflecting on the experience, there were certain things on the ship that could be better. I wasn’t a huge fan of the buffet food. I just wasn’t impressed with the selection and most days ended up trying several different things but didn’t find anything I liked. The other dining options were great though! Guys burgers, blue iguana and the main dining room. Overall the best place on ship was the red frog pub! We loved hanging out there and playing the games and the bartenders were always super fun. I really enjoyed our cruise and I might consider the Pride in the future but I’m excited to try different ships now and see how they stack up.

Overall this ship and vacation... by Devon42

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Overall this ship and vacation was amazing. The crew was incredible and there was always something to do. We had the cheers package which I'm glad we made that purchase as we did break even most days with it. It covered water, soda, milkshakes, and our coffees which made it worth while. Though we originally booked the Pride because of Grand Turks that was changed due to hurricane damage. We were advised the week before we would be going to Nassua. Though it rained while there it was still a fun stop. Half moon was beautiful and can't wait to visit it again. Freeport not worth it but understand why we stop there. Overall the food was good. We ate at the steakhouse the 1st night and was worth the extra money. The MDR staff was fun and the food was good. Only downfall to the food was extremely limited late night options. Same thing at late night buffet every night and pizza was ok. Again nothing that ruined my evening or cruise. Carnival for sure was a fun ship. Can't wait to finalize the next cruise :)

Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a fabulous relaxing time. We both loved it. We will definitely go again, but were heart broken the main reason we booked was to see Grand Turks. : ( Hopefully we can get there in years to come and NOT during hurricane season...

Love this cruise. It's our 3rd time taking it and will do so again in the future by works82

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The only problem was waiting for debarkation, I overheard one of the staff make fun of a special needs passenger with her fellow co-workers with the way that person talked. I could not believe what I was hearing. She did see me making fun of her and then made the comment " Sorry, just a little tired this morning"! I didn't get her name but she was the one making announcements in the Taj Mah Hall while waiting to debark. The ones with the blonde hair & British accent. VERY DISAPPOINTED in her attitude!!! I mean REALLY? Disgusted!!!

Great cruise for the most part. Wish we could of gone to Grand Turk, but it was out of Carnival control. There's a lot to do on the ship so prepare your week accordingly!

The Northern Caribbean... by cucruizin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The itinerary was changed due to IRMA. Instead of the Caribbean we went to Canada. Halifax - nice boardwalk & waterfront at the pier. Lots of shops, eateries and restaurants at the pier and within walking distance. St. John - no shops at the pier. There's a walkable waterfront, mall and shops a few blocks up from the pier.

Great time despite the major itinerary change! by kkbailey20

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We were rerouted due to hurricane Irma. Not the itinerary we had planned, but what beautiful weather, and I really enjoyed Halifax and St John. Beautiful cities. Was pleasantly surprised and hey, we were cruising! Thank you to Carnival for keeping us safe and still providing a great vacation experience!

Yes its a small ship... by zae320

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Pride

Yes its a small ship in comparison to most mainstream popular ships but it is genuinely beautiful, the attention to detail is unprecedented and I cant wait to go again next month. If you enjoy dancing, partying like there's no tomorrow its for you. If you like to relax, read, and meditate its for you. It was never to hectic and I felt right at home, oooo and the steak house was AWESOME!!

Great cruise with a lot of fun by michele1964

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Although we didn't get to go to the ports we were suppose to due to Hurricane Irma, we made the best of it. We still had a lot of fun on the ship and the ports we went to.

An Irma Disaster by ToMaJa

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The best part of the cruise was the comedians & the food but not for almost $1800. I'm sure the crew had more than 10 minutes notice that they were adjusting the itinerary and they should've contacted both Carnival & everyone's travel agent to notify us as they state on their website that they should.

As good as it could be by september2017

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

A little disappointed but will try cruising again. I hope carnival gives all of the passengers a future cruise credit to make up for some of the issues.

Our first cruise by bikerlady

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

We had a wonderful time even when we didn't get to go where we planed. I'm thankful the captain kept the ship and the passengers safe. We only had one day of rough seas and even that wasn't too bad. The crew was always helpful and friendly. We loved all the activities and how the crew tried to get everyone involved in the fun. The food was awesome and it was fun trying something new every night. There was always something to do. We enjoyed the comedy club but after the first night we only went to the PG shows. We didn't care too much for the language at the late night. The shows were fantatistic. The performers did an excellent job with a different show almost every night. I think to get a job there the job description has to be "must be perky" because everyone was so happy and entertaining

A nice experience but disappointed about our ports by alcornerica

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Pride / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The ship had plenty of things to do, however I didnt pay that price for the ports that we went to. I could've driven to Charleston South Carolina. I Was not happy about that at all. Then we only had 4 hrs at Freeport(by the time we got off the ship) and Nassau was ok but not part of the cruise we booked!! Only Freeport was part of it. We were very disappointed.

Everyone was absolutely amazing!! Half Moon Cay was one of the most amazing beaches I have been to. The cruise director was awesome. My daughter enjoyed Camp O very much and the activities it had during the days at sea.
